Cops Capture Teen With Gun in Bay Ridge
Last night, near 10:00 pm, a teen was seen with a gun on 90th Street off 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge.
Police caught up with him, recovered the gun and detained him fast. YES!

Documentary on Bay Ridge Businesses During the Pandemic
Gillian Fritzsche was living in Bay Ridge when the pandemic hit in 2020. She noticed how businesses were struggling.
She directed a short documentary called: Reopening and is now raising money to complete the film. Fritzche wants to tell the story of Bay Ridge business owners during the pandemic. The goal is $2750. Currently, $2,510 has been raised from 32 donors. See here
Sadly, two female-owned businesses in Bay Ridge that closed are in the video: Norma’s Arts and Crafts store on 3rd Avenue and 83rd Street is the first shop. This store survived the pandemic, but closed this year. The storefront remains empty. (See here)
The other business, OGO New York Clothing Boutique was on 3rd and 83rd Street. They sold beautiful masks during the pandemic. The business continues online here. Before the pandemic, the owner had a fashion show with Bay Ridge Moms as her clothing models.
Aunt Butchies Bakery now has the corner spot where OGO New York Clothing boutique was located.

NYC TikTocker, Michael Quinn said that Dick Zigun, the unofficial mayor of Coney Island said that Totonno’s Pizzeria is teaching people how to make their pizza.

St. Francis College Quietly Opened on Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn
Saint Francis College was at 180 Remsen Street for almost 60 years.
This September, they opened the new campus at 179 Livingston Street.

The new college facility has modern classrooms with glass walls. There is an outdoor terrace, a 6,600-square-foot library, two art galleries and a brew shop to study at!
It’s bittersweet to see the campus, but the Class of 2026 will enjoy this modern college in Brooklyn and that’s what is important!

Access-A-Ride Driver From Bay Ridge Arrested
Last Wednesday, this video was filmed in Marine Park.
It’s disgusting to see the terrible treatment towards someone’s grandmother.
Today, the NY Post revealed that the 46-year-old driver is from Bay Ridge and he was charged with attempted robbery, vehicular assault and grand larceny.
The situation was recorded by someone who saw something was wrong and started filming.

Narrows Community Theater’s production of The Wizard of Oz stars some of the best actors in Brooklyn under 18-years-old.
The show takes places at the Fort Hamilton Army Base Theater. Opening Night is Friday, September 9th.

Performances Sept. 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th at 8pm.
Sundays: September 11th and 18th at 2:00 pm.
