The Infatuation Rated the Best Pizza in Brooklyn, Three Bay Ridge Places Made the List!

The Infatuation was in search of the best pizza in Brooklyn. They reviewed a lot of places throughout the borough. (See here)

Here’s the Pizzerias they chose from Bay Ridge:

I cheered when I saw Espresso Pizza (4th Avenue and 95th Street) made the list – it’s often forgotten, but soooooo good. We found Espresso’s on the first night we were in Bay Ridge. It’s most like the pizza I ate when I was a kid.

6922 – 5th Avenue

This is many Ridgites favorite pizzeria. No doubt – it’s a good slice.

279 – 71st Street

I don’t think the reviewers ordered Lombardo’s best pizza. That’s not it in the photo below. They would have had a higher score if they ordered Lombardo’s best pie!

Missing from the list: The Firefly.

They chose Krispy, J&V and L&B nearby too – see here

They had their windows decorated, so The Monk looks festive and ready for the 3rd Avenue Festival next weekend – I love it!

BK Democrats Try For a Second Meeting – At Noon – Who Don’t They Want To Attend?

Last week, the Brooklyn Democrats had a meeting #FAIL in Coney Island.

They were supposed to reconvene to have a meeting and vote, but someone made the meeting at Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Marriott on Adams Street.

That would stop someone who was working from attending.

Don’t most of the people who are voting have a job?

Malliotakis Met With Bay Ridge Business Owners Who Were Robbed.

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis was in Bay Ridge speaking to Ridge Business owners who were robbed by thieves. (See story here)

Why haven’t the other politicians in our area done anything?

Malliotakis said these break-ins are most likely don by repeat offenders thanks to NY’s disastrous bail law.

She called for Governor Kathy Hochul to take action to keep criminals behind bars!

Councilman Brannan acknowledge the robberies. Senator Gounardes has still not mentioned it. Does Gounardes know he is supposed to represent the people and speak up? I always get the feeling that he doesn’t know what’s going on and he doesn’t know how to take action for the community.

Crime Is Up in Bay Ridge – NY Post Article

The 95th Street Train Station and Crime in Bay Ridge was in the NY Post on September 24th. (See article)

A father hung up flyers in the station after his daughter was sexually assaulted by a man.

In the article, Justin Brannan said security was increased at the 95th Street station. Brannan hasn’t addressed the increase in crime or shared anything about the 95th Street station with Bay Ridge.

We went to the station twice this weekend to see if there was security….we didn’t see any security in the station or outside it. Maybe security is only there on the weekdays?

Michael Ragusa, the man challenging Brannan in 2023 was quoted: “Sexual crimes are skyrocketing here, and nothing’s being done,” Ragusa said. “The 68th Precinct and the 62nd Precinct, they do not respect [incumbent City Councilman] Justin Brannan, because he openly voted to defund the police.”
