September 4, 2022Max Rose Isn’t Supporting Congestion Pricing

Max Rose shared that he doesn’t support Congestion Pricing in the tweet above with his cute son.
Andrew Gounardes supports congestion pricing.
In 2018, Justin Brannan spoke out for congestion pricing, but mentioned that the trains weren’t working correctly for people to accept the congestion pricing. (See very) What happened to that Brannan?
Rose can’t play with the Democrats on congestion pricing this because Malliotakis has spoken out strongly against Congestion Pricing. (See here)
Strangely, NYC has been trying to pass this since 2008. (See here)

September 3, 2022Malone’s Chophouse is Opening in Bay Ridge

Malone’s Chophouse announced on Memorial Day Weekend 2023 that they will be opening in July, They also have a website (it’s not setup yet), but it will be here soon.

Bay Ridge is getting a new chophouse!
Malone’s Chophouse is opening on 3rd Avenue and 95th Street (formerly Embers Steakhouse at 9519 3rd Avenue).
The old restaurant is being completely gutted. Malones will also include the building to the left of Ember’s (it used to be Vinny’s Butcher Shop.)
It will be open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm – Monday to Sunday. The restaurant seats about 80 people.
Since the building was sold in May, people have been wondering if a new restaurant will open there.
What’s the difference between a chophouse and a steakhouse? A chop house has beef and other meat such as pork.

This is a nice addition to the 90’s as many people missed Ember’s.
Congratulations and Good luck to the new owners of Malone’s Chophouse, Miriam and Greg!

September 3, 2022Under Reported: Arsenic in East Village NYCHA. Someone Knew for Two Weeks!

Arsenic was found in the Jacob Riis Houses NYCHA development’s tap water in the East Village. Arsenic was not found in the water in surrounding neighborhoods in Manhattan. (Source) Around 3000 people live in this development.
Residents noticed cloud water at the beginning of August and some said the water smelled bad. (Source) The City shared that the arsenic was found in the water two weeks ago and NYCHA residents were only told on Friday night, September 2nd. (More info)
SOMEONE ONE OR SEVERAL PEOPLE KNEW AND DIDN’T TELL ANYONE FOR TWO WEEKS! (Source)
I guess NY 10 is glad they didn’t elect this politician who is in charge of the area:

People were given bottled water to drink and cook with. Are they bathing with water with arsenic in it?
Hopefully, no one was poisoned. : (
