St. Patrick’s Church is Ready to Celebrate The Installation of Their Pastor, Fr. Brian Dowd

St. Patrick’s Church in Bay Ridge is ready to celebrate their new pastor, Father Brian P. Dowd. The doors to the church on 4th Avenue and 94th are decorated with yellow and white fabric.

A huge banner hangs to the right of the doors:

Everyone is invited to the Installation Ceremony on Saturday, October 29th at 5:00 pm.

14-Year-Old Shot Outside of Tottenville HS

Around 2:00 pm today, a high school freshman was shot outside of Tottenville High School in Staten Island today. (Photos of the investigation)

The fourteen year old was hit in the ankle by the bullet. He is in stable condition. (Info) He was not the intended target of the shooting. (Source)

Students told reporters that five men in ski masks and grey pants came out of a car and fire several rounds.   Could this be part of some fraternity or gang initiation?

Tottenville High School and other schools in the area took necessary precautions, locked their doors and sheltered-in-place to keep the students safe.

Update: Found. Missing Staten Island Mom, Laura Lyons

Laura Lyons was found in Manhattan. She is safe.

Thirty-four year old Staten Island Mom, Laura Lyons, has been missing for 4 days.

Laura hasn’t been home, called, messaged anyone in her family or checked in on her son. This is not like her.

Laura was last seen on Staten Island on October 21st. She was wearing a red Winter coat, black pants and black sneakers.

Why Aren’t The Homeless People On The R Train Hotel Getting Help?

Last week, Ridgites shared photos where homeless individuals weren’t receiving attention at the 95th Street station. (See here)

Staffers were present at the station, but there was no interaction between the staffers and the individuals who needed help!

This week is another repeat of last week. The person below received no outreach and needed it.

Amazing Creepy House on 81st St. in Bay Ridge

This Bay Ridge house has so many beautiful creepy decorations. It’s worth visiting!
