Suspect in Police Custody Over Abduction – Three Officers Hurt in Dyker Heights – Not Life Threatening
A woman was abducted in Long Island and the police from Suffolk County, Long Island by her boyfriend. The 33-year-old man forced her into the car and drove towards NYC.
The Nassau County Police were chasing the car on the Belt Parkway. By 10:35, they passed Flatbush Avenue. The Verrazano Bridge was shut down. The man exited the Belt Parkway on Exit 4.

Many police cars covered 86th Street and were able to stop the man’s car on 12th Avenue around 11:00 pm. They took the suspect into custody. That’s great news!! (See info)
Three police officers had injuries (from the collision). Two other police officers were also sent to the hospital. All police officers were treated and left the hospital.
The suspect remains at the hospital.
The NYPD helicopter was flying around Dyker Heights for a long time tonight.
Three police officers were injured, but thankfully their injuries are not life-threatening.

The Screwdriver Bandit is relentless to the cars on Shore Road in Bay Ridge.
Residents shared that the thief broke into cars the last two nights between 69th Street and 72nd Street on Shore Road.
Last night the cars on 69th Street and 71st Street and Shore Road were broken into. Two nights ago, vehicles on 71st and 72nd Streets & Shore Road were the target.
The Screwdriver Bandit goes after cars on the park side, where it is dark (not on the apartment building side).
A screwdriver is being used to smash the front passenger window and then rob the contents of the car – even just change.
Bay Ridge, don’t park on the park side of Shore Road or you may be the next target of the Screwdriver Bandit.

October 12, 2022RIP Kala Santiago – She Was Only 25-Years-Old And Killed While Riding Her Bike to Work
Kala Santiago was a 25-year-old cyclist, who was riding her bike to work this morning around 7:30 am. The story is awful. Kala was killed by a truck near Prospect Park and she died on the street. (Story here)
Kala Santiago is the mother of two small children. Her oldest is one and she just had a baby in July. This is a terrible tragedy and I can’t imagine how horrible this is for her family.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
RIP Kala. She was only 25-years-old and a new mother. Prayers for her family and friends.
