R Train Hotel at 95th Street – Andrew Gounardes and Max Rose Show Up At Stations For Votes, But Won’t Help These People

Every morning, Bay Ridge residents see people who need help. They contacted local politicians and nothing changes here. (See previous pics here)

Max Rose was campaigning at this station and didn’t want to go downstairs to help them.

Senator Andrew Gounardes is aware that there are people on the R Train Hotel daily, but Andrew has been ignoring them for years.

Gounardes wants to hand out his flyer and smile at the train stations. He’s heartless!

Last week, Riders Alliance thought it would be cool if Andrew Gounardes ran after Jessica Ramos in the train station. (See ad below – these politicians think the subway is a place to play and have no idea people are barely surviving.)

Riders Alliance isn’t holding politicians accountable to New Yorkers. These people deserve help.

Today and three other days, there have staffers at the station (man above), but none are speaking to any of these people who need help. Residents are at the station and the train pulls away without anyone communicating with these people who need help.

Halloween Decorations in Bay Ridge 97th Street

The Bayview Co-op building on 97th Street and 4th Avenue always has great holiday displays.

Fourth Avenue is decorated, but the better decorations are on 97th Street near the building’s entrance.

Coat Collection in Bay Ridge – Coats For The Cold

Coats for the Cold is a wonderful organization in Bay Ridge. They have been collecting unwanted coats in our community since 2017.

Almost 25,000 unused coat (or Winter items likes hats, scarves and gloves) and gave them to people who needed the items to be warm.

Last year, when there was a destructive fire at a building, I saw Coats for the Cold post a message on Facebook that they were bringing a car loaded with coats to the location.

Message Elliot and he will pick up the coats.

If you prefer to drop-off a coat, there will be pop-up locations to drop off as well.

14-Year-Old Shot Outside of Tottenville HS

Around 2:00 pm today, a high school freshman was shot outside of Tottenville High School in Staten Island today. (Photos of the investigation)

The fourteen year old was hit in the ankle by the bullet. He is in stable condition. (Info) He was not the intended target of the shooting. (Source)

Students told reporters that five men in ski masks and grey pants came out of a car and fire several rounds.   Could this be part of some fraternity or gang initiation?

Tottenville High School and other schools in the area took necessary precautions, locked their doors and sheltered-in-place to keep the students safe.
