Animal Rights Group Called Out Councilman Justin Brannan For Not Co-Sponsoring Bill

Justin Brannan promised NYClass that he would support legislation to ban horse carriages in NYC, but then didn’t co-sponsor the bill. (See the bill)

This was Ryder, He should have been retired many years ago.

Ryder’s Law, would ban horse-drawn carriages in NYC and replace them with electric carriages.
NYClass believes this will save hundreds of horses from years of stress, fear and suffering.

Why did Brannan give them his word and then not follow through? Because he wanted their support!

Here’s where Justin Brannan marked YES to give his support:

The streets in NYC are too crowded – this horse is scared:
NYClass used to love Justin Brannan. They even came to Bay Ridge and did plant based Thanksgiving giveaways outside of his office.

(See more photos here)
This year, NYClass endorsed Ari Kagan because Kagan is a sponsor of Ryder’s Law.

We knew Justin Brannan was not an animal rights activist when he wouldn’t help the residents at Bergen Place who ran a puppy mill in a house. They were worried about the dogs in the house.

Residents went to the news when Brannan failed to help them get help for the dogs! (See here) The residents held a rally – Malliotakis was the only politician to attend the rally. (See here)
The puppy mill moved to Queens and the Queens police and Councilman took action against the man! He had 21 dogs in his apartment. (See here)
A 34-Year Contract with Animal Care and Control was made while Justin Brannan was head of Contracts on NYC Council. (More info here) Why didn’t Brannan fight it, object to it, write about, bring it to the media’s attention?

Twenty minute wait to get across 86th Street from Fort Hamilton to 7th Avenue this morning.
It looks like they are using a crane to install some large units on the school. No police officers to direct traffic.

October 27, 2023Justin Brannan Called Out by Rosanna Scotto

Rosanna Scotto grew up in Dyker Heights. She confidently called Councilman Justin Brannan out for writing on Twitter that he defunded the police.
Brannan denied that there was a tweet (watch the video). Many people have copied and shared Brannan’s tweet because it shows he wasn’t with our community and he was playing politics!
Watch how a politician who defunded the police now tries to run from the defund the police movement. You can’t run from the truth ?@JustinBrannan?!! Vote for ?@AriKagan47? in the upcoming ?@NYCCouncil? election. pic.twitter.com/kIDpY9zniV

October 27, 2023How Did Officer Moira Smith Get Left Out of The 86th Street Mural in Bay Ridge?

I’m disappointed. But I guess many people can be disappointed. When just a small group of people choose the art for our community, it doesn’t represent the community.
How was Officer Moria left out of the mural on 86th Street in Bay Ridge. She was courageous and lost her life helping others. The artist placed himself in the painting.
