Big Chief Dispensary Shut Down in Bay Ridge
The Attorney General’s office padlocked Big Chief cannabis shop on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. (See announcement) This is the second time the shop has been closed.
In July, Governor Kathy Hochul said she was going to close the illegal pot shops. She also said she was going to fine them. We haven’t seen either happen.
How many days will it be until we see Big Chief open again?

CB 10 Meeting About Bay Ridge Cannabis Shops
Community Board 10 is having a general meeting on Monday, December 18th at 7:00 pm. Anyone can speak at this meeting, so if you have grievances bring them to 1250 – 67th Street.
CB 10 is going to be reviewing cannabis dispensary’s. Imagine thy said No to all three of these locations. They won’t but it would be interesting if they did.

Buses Riding Through Streets for Dyker Lights
Buses bringing tourists to see the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights have been given free parking on 86th Street.
But if no one is there to make sure that the buses park, the buses just ride up and down the streets, like they did on some blocks tonight.
Several buses were driving around Dyker Heights streets tonight.

Tonight around 10:00 pm, there was trouble around 85th Street and 3rd Avenue. Hopefully, the person at the hospital is okay.

84-Year-Old Woman Robbed of Necklace-75th St.
Not the actual necklace
Yesterday afternoon, an 84-year-old walked down 75th Street and 3rd Avenue.
A car pulled up and a woman asked for directions. A woman got out of the car and stole the Rigite’s necklace with a crucifix on it.
The woman’s family shared this story to give everyone a heads up and are alert that thieves are preying on seniors in our community.
The 68th Precinct needs to set up a sting and catch these thieves.
Seniors should not have to worry about this when they go out for a walk.

I was sad to see the realtor’s sign in Party Creation’s store on Bay Ridge Avenue.
Then I saw they got a new shop – a bigger one at 6939 3rd Avenue – Hooray! (See their Facebook here)

Vinny’s Pet Shop at 451 Bay Ridge Avenue has a very patient Santa Clause to take photos with today and tomorrow from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
On December 23rd, My Natural Pet has the very cute Santa Paws to take photos with from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

Plugged In Sneaker Boutique Moved to 86th St.
PluggedIn Sneaker Boutique moved to 538 – 86th Street in Bay Ridge.
Their new place is a lot larger than their old storefront on 94th Street and 5th Avenue and it looks REALLY nice.
PluggedIn had a grand opening today, which caused a lot of traffic on 86th Street. They had a lot of designer sneakers for $25.00 a pair and then they gave away all of these free items:

Accident on 5th Avenue and 84th Street
Robert shared the photo above of the black car involved in an accident at 9:50 am this morning.
I don’t even think we should be calling this “an accident.”
What you don’t see is who is in the other car that was hit. (See the video)
The driver is a father, who was taking his son to a doctor’s appointment. Luckily the father only had a wound near his eye which needed stitches.
