Chris McCreight was the guy who stayed silent when:

b) When Justin Brannan voted to demap Coney Island for the casino, Chris McCreight stayed silent. The residents had to fight against the casino at meetings for months! McCreight attended the meeting and is seen in the back laughing and playing on his phone. He didn’t speak out or cheer on any Coney Island resident who spoke out against the casino.
c) Chris McCreight didn’t tell us that he accepted $3000.00 from the Hotel Pac: New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council Committee. McCreight is interested in representing them or he would have refused their money!
d) Why didn’t Chris McCreight tell Bay Ridge that he accepted $500 from Domenic Recchia?Recchia was in the Lobbyist Database – he lobbied Brannan over rezoning of 2300 Cropsey Avenue (See the building here)

Community Board 10 members questioned how this property could go through as it doesn’t have an exit on another street. i) Last election, Chris McCreight’s flyers didn’t say he supports Charter Schools. Yet, Politico wrote that McCreight accepted $68,000 from these groups representing Charter Schools. GREEDY! “The PAC for charter schools, Democrats for Education Reform spent $43,000 on Chris McCreight. McCreight has also seen $25,000 spent on a mailer from New Yorkers for a Balanced Albany, another charter school PAC. (Source)

RIP Tony Gentile – From Lonestar in Bay Ridge
This is another hard loss for Bay Ridge.
Tony Gentile, the former owner of Lonestar Bar for over fifteen years died.
Tony fought cancer for a long time. Now he is with God and no longer in pain.
Tony knew how to throw a great party and he will be missed by many people who loved his sense of humor, watched the game and celebrated important moments at Lonestar.
Prayers for the love of his life, Tracy, his children and dogs.
RIP Tony.

Police Share 1/3/26 Attempted Robbery at Bensonhurst McDonald’s Today, 2/26/26
Three thieves on a bike tried to rob a teen at the McDonalds Bensonhurst of his jacket. News: https://shorturl.at/3Tb7G
They showed a knife, but the teen didn’t give up his jacket. The police waited until today – 54 days later to share this information with the public.

Why Wasn’t Madeline Court Plowed?
After it snowed, NYC slowly plowed Bay Ridge. Some residents of several Bay Ridge “court” or “terrace” streets were upset because they were not plowed after the snowstorm this year. In previous years, their blocks were plowed.
This is a huge safety concern for our community. We wouldn’t want anyone not to receive help for an emergency because the streets were not cleared of snow. Can you imagine how awful it would be to hear that someone died because EMS couldn’t access that block?!
Wogan Terrance, Madeline Court and Shore Court were not plowed this week.
Shore Court wasn’t plowed by NYC, but private plumbers plowed because one home had a broken water line that needed to be repaired. (Strangely, DSNY’s website shows that they plowed it.)
When a property owner from Madeline Court shared on Facebook that their area was not plowed, many Ridgites were not sympathetic.
Those living on a court own their parking space, so some Ridgites were bitter over that. Many encouraged her to make a fund to pay for snow removal.
The residents on Court and Terrace streets in Bay Ridge should form a Facebook group and put their concerns together and bring them to elected officials. It’s a huge safety concern, especially because Bay Ridge is a NORC.
