June 17, 2024When Will CB 10 Take On Real Transportation Issues?

Community Board 10’s Traffic and Transportation Committee is meeting on June 18th at 7:00 pm. The agenda is: sidewalk dining and closing a street for a school.
Does Community 10 Board Members live here??? Two men were killed on the streets and they want to talk about sidewalk dining.
Aren’t there any CB 10 members that want to talk about real issues and help the community? Why isn’t this traffic group taking on problems like the double parking on 5th Avenue in the late 60’s?

June 15, 2024RIP – The Pink Lady of Dyker Heights

Sad to hear the news that Albina had died. She was the pink lady of Dyker Heights.

Photo: Jay G.
Albina always wore pink. She rode a pink bicycle, with pink tire spokes and a pink basket. She was very cute.
Her house on the corner of 84th Street and 15th Avenue had a lot of pink flower pots with pink flowers. She painted some areas pink as well!

Google images captured her back deck:

Even the fire hydrant outside her home on the corner was pink!

RIP Albina! May she rest in pink.
