Dumb Tweets from Andrew Gounardes

Andrew Gounardes has a lot of time to waste online:

Gounardes writes tweets to fight with Governor Murphy from NJ. Andrew will waste timebeing abrasive to someone in NJ who doesn’t know him.

Gounardes tweets about elevators in Brooklyn – they were done before his time and no leader pushed congestion pricing. Gounardes fails to reveal his lobbyists for congestion pricing.

Brooklyn’s air will not be more clean because of congestion pricing. Why is a state senator from Brooklyn pushing congestion pricing?

Ovington Pottery – Buy Pottery in Bay Ridge or Take Classes and Make Your Own

It’s so exciting to see someone starting a new business in Bay Ridge!

Katie Coughlin has started Ovington Pottery on Ovington Avenue between 3rd Avenue and Ridge Blvd.

She will be selling her pottery on Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st on Ovington Avenue between 3rd Avenue and Ridge Blvd. (See her amazing pottery) Think: Christmas presents!

There will be pottery classes for children and teens at the studio: (See here)

What if your child or teen is indecisive about doing pottery? They can take a one hour intro class on December 21st for $43.00. (Info here)

They also have pottery classes for adults: (See here)

What if you aren’t sure if this type of class is for you? They have an Intro Class every third Friday of the month – the first one is December 20th.

If you have a crafty spouse, she would probably love this for Christmas (as long as your were also excited about a pottery date night!): (See here)

Congratulations Katie! I think Bay Ridge is going to love Ovington Pottery!

Andrew Gounardes and Hochul Push Congestion Pricing – People Calling for Trump to Stop It

Andrew Gounardes doesn’t share that he drives his car to work instead of taking the train.

Elevators were installed in Bay Ridge before Andrew Gounardes became a senator. No one was pushing cvongestion princing back then!

Senator Andrew Gounardes should state which lobbyists are pushing him to push this tax on NY’ers. Everyone has to realize that’s it’s strange that a state senator from Brooklyn is the one pushing congestion pricing.

Congress Representative Nicole Malliotakis has opposed the congestion pricing for long time. She and other politicians asked President Elect Trump for help. Since Malliotakis was loyal to Trump, I can see him stepping in and helping her.

Green Infrastructure Project Coming to Streets in Dyker Heights & Bensonhurst in 2027

Community Board 10 had an environmental meeting tonight. The presentation was about the one hundred million dollar project coming to Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst in 2027. (See the meeting video)

This project map shows that the project is extending from 11th Avenue to Bay Parkway AND from 71st Street to Cropsey Avenue.

This map also shows the project location:

The project is called GKOH15-04 and it’s an infrastructure project for Gravesend Bay.

This project is still in the planning stage. They will have the final design done in December 2026. Construction will start in October 2027 bnd be done by Spring 2031. (Long project!)

What is going to be installed?

PPCP – Precut Porus Concrete Panels that will be used in the gutter of the street. This alleviates ponding (ponding is standing water at the curbline). 8000 linear feet will be done in this area. This will alleviate 3 million gallons of storm water.

The panels look like this:

The city is going to dig up the area next to the curb. Then they will add a frame and a lot of small rocks tightly pushed together. Then these panels are added on top.

They installed it in Borough Park already:

This will allow water to be collected without filling the sewers.

Cars will be able to safely park on this material.

It takes two weeks to a month to install this on a block. The speaker said that they will not close the street or stop traffic when they are working on one side of the street. They will give people notification if they are working in front of your driveway.

This is what it looks like when it is done:

The speaker said he didn’t have the locations, but the map was in the presentation. He told Josephine from CB 10 that he will share the locations tomorrow, so there might be more locations.

How will a lot more water affect the pipes going into people’s homes?.
