The Ridge Kids Shop Shared a Fantastic Video!

Yes, it’s early for The Grinch and Santa to make an appearance at The Ridge Shop in Bay Ridge, but this video of the two dancing in the shop’s background is too cute not to share.

The Ridge Kids Shop is on 3rd Avenue and 82nd Street.

Andrew Gounades, the Mayor and Developers Are Pushing for the City of Yes….Fight Back!

Senator Andrew Gounardes, Mayor Adams and developers are pushing for the City of Yes .

Andrew Gounardes was too cowardly to stand up at St. Anselm’s and speak about the City of Yes. He was at the meeting and didn’t say a word as residents and other politicians spoke for the community.

On Tuesday, October 22nd, NYC Council will hold a public meeting on the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity citywide zoning reform proposals

Happy 175 Years St. Patrick’s Church in Bay Ridge

Everyone is invited to St. Patrick’s Church tomorrow at 12:00 for the mass celebrating St. Patrick’s Church being in Bay Ridge for 175. Bishop Robert Brennan will be in the neighborhood to celebrate!

Irish Haven Bar is celebrating 60 Years in Business in Sunset Park – they will have 50 cent beers from 3:00 – 4:00 pm (1964 prices) and live music all day.

Strange Verrazzano Bridge Closure on Saturday

Bay Ridge residents have never received a Verrazzano Bridge closure notice like this:

This morning, Chris shared this picture of a ship carrying marine cranes:

And B. Vega shared the photo below of the ship looking like it would clear the bridge easily. But I guess they are being extra cautious.

Vladimir shared the photo below and shared that the ship is now docked at Port Liberty and is unloading the counties largest cranes that will be used here.

95th Street Elevator to the R Train in Bay Ridge
