Lunch at Gino’s in Bay Ridge – So Good!
Ginos Restaurant at 7414 – 5th Avenue has a fantastic lunch special from Tuesday to Friday. We were celebrating yesterday and decided to go to Ginos and we walked into this great deal.
The grilled shrimp with white beans (photo above) was SOOOOO good.

Bay Ridginals filled Gino’s Restaurant. They all know where to get the good food!

The aquarist needed should have an understanding of marine biology, including the specific needs of various aquatic species, excellent water quality management skills, the ability to maintain aquarium equipment, keen observation skills to detect animal health issues, physical stamina for demanding tasks like tank cleaning.
The aquarist should also be knowledgeable about breeding, compatibility between species, and how to identify potential threats to aquatic life in captivity. Will be trained.

The first Bay Ridge Summer Stroll is on Friday, July 24th! The stroll takes place on 3rd Avenue from 82nd Street to Marine Avenue 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
Greenspa at 8804 – 3rd Avenue will have samples, a prize wheel and fun from 12:00 – 6:00 pm.

A) The free bounce houses and kids activities are on 82nd Street and 3rd Avenue.

July 20, 2026Check Your License Plate Each Week
A few Bay Ridge residents are talking about stolen license plates. One resident urged Ridgites to check their license plate every few days because his plate was stolen last week and someone is riding in a black BWN with his license plate was on riding the Verrazzano Bridge.
Another neighbor shared that someone in the 70’s had their license taken, but another plate was put on their car.

July 20, 2026A Month After Maria Santos Flores’ Death – No Arrest and No Update From the 68th Precinct
Last month, Maria Santos Flores was found dead in her home on 85th Street. No one was charged with her death.
The 68th Precinct investigated and didn’t arrest anyone. And the 68th Precinct failed to provide any information to the community. CaptainVincenti has not publicly announced an arrest or identified a suspect.
In the weeks that followed Flores’ death, Bay Ridge residents asked for updates, but no politicians or police have provided any information.
Brooklyn residents remember Phil Guarino’s death in July 2022. Guarino was a 28-year-old man from Queens. He was killed and his body was brought to Dyker Heights and left in the back of someone’s driveway on 72nd Street in Dyker Heights. Eric Gonzalez, the Brooklyn District Attorney has not shared any charges relating to the concealment of a human corpse, tampering with evidence, or related offenses in connection with Philip Guarino’s death. There are cameras everywhere, how was no one charged? Guarino’s mother shared that the Medical Examiner found a fractured bone in Phil’s neck and that drugs were not the cause of death. Emphasis Diner at 6822 – 4th Avenue closed in January after being in business for 21 years in Bay Ridge. Will it be converted into a grocery store?
Everyone wants to open a grocery store these days. Foodtown 2 just opened at on 69th Street and 4th Avenue (no relation to the Foodtown on 3rd Avenue).
The owners of the Emphasis Diner are the new owners of the Royal Diner at 7609 – 5th Avenue.

NYC Council Representative, Kayla Santosuosso owned a business on this block. This is an easy fix -> Tell the property owner to clean it or be fined.
Why hasn’t Santosuosso or Gounardes taken action?
