When The Bat Comes Out, No One is Joking Around

Photo from video: Hunter TV

When someone has a bat, don’t mess with them.

This woman was yelling outside of Mike’s Donuts on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge.

I’m sharing so everyone can see the guys who are upsetting her. The video has a lot of foul language – lower sound before clicking: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1811824349786927

Ridgites Try to Help Dog in Locked Car on 78th Street

There is a dog locked in a car for over an hour on 78th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues. It’s too hot for a dog to sit in a car, unless then air conditioner is on.

Good Bay Ridge residents are trying to get the dog help.

They called the fire department and the fire department is closed today (that’s strange)

They called the police and the police called for backup to break a window. Then the owner came out of his house and the police gave him a warning.

Ridgites Wonder Why a Queens Neighborhood Had a Fun Community Activity and Bay Ridge Didn’t

Queens NYC Council representative, Joanne Ariola’s district painted the fire hydrants in red, white and blue for the 4th of July 250th Celebration. Residents used DIY paint kits supplied by Home Depot and had the FDNY’s safety guidance. Fiftykits were distributed in the district.

Why didn’t Council Representative Kayla Santosuosso do something like this for #BayRidge?

The Coast Guard Pulled Clearwater’s Sailboat Out of the Sail 4th 250 Procession Near Bay Ridge

In Bay Ridge, the Coast Guard pulled up to Clearwater’s sailboat and demanded that they turn around towards the Verrazzano Bridge because their sails were displaying two political messages. See video:

Clearwater’s sail had a banner which read, “Save the Clean Water Act.”

And on the other side of the sail, they had a banner which read: Indigenous Rights, Racial Justice, Climate Solutions.”

Clearwater followed their orders and returned south of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. After 3:00 pm, they were able to sail back. David Toman, the executive director said there was nothing offensive about their signage – it’s environmental awareness that so many people care about and is a necessity for our future.

Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is a non-profit organization, which has been providing environmental education programs in NY. Info:
