John Ricottone is Running for NYS Assembly in District 47. Tired of Dirty Streets – Vote for Him!

It’s great to see that John Ricottone has thrown his hat in to run for the NYS Assembly for District 47.

I don’t know John Riccotone personally, but I have watched him help so many people – he likes helping people.
If you are disgusted with how 86th Street looks in Bensonhurst, so is John. He will have that area cleaned up and stay on top of it.
As the head of District 20’s Community Education Council, John has pushed for safety and improvements by writing resolutions. This year when parents voiced their concerns about lockdown drills, Riccotone’s resolution was to equip teachers and staff with a silent panic button. Info: https://www.cec20.org/meetings/meeting-records
John Riccotone helped PS 164 get funding. He helped setup a helmet giveaway for PS 247. He’s works fast because he is motivated to help families and schools.
Prior to being the President of the Community Education Council, Riccotone was Vice President and ran the meetings well. He made sure that all parents who wanted to speak were heard from.
When NYS cut the funding to afterschool programs, Riccotone and member of Community Education Council led a protest. Their sick of money being cut towards programs for children and politicians not telling the community.
When people were complaining about a local vendor being rude, John didn’t write things on social media, he went out and talked with the guy. Riccotone is a retired police officer and he is used to talking to people.
Tired of politicians being owned by lobbyists? This guy is tired of all the nonsense in politics as well. He just wants a clean and safe community.
I wish John Riccotone was running for office in Bay Ridge. Brooklyn needs leaders who are focused on helping the community.

March 2, 2026Why Didn’t Andrew Gounardes Share Eric Adams Property Tax Plan?

Eric Adams said he had a property tax plan that NYS legislatures failed to do anything. See article:
https://nysfocus.com/2026/03/02/mamdani-eric-adams-property-tax-plan
We should have seen Andrew Gounardes lead property tax reform.
Instead, Senator Gounardes is busy posting goofy videos on social media about Trump.

Andew Gounardes does not want to make NY more affordable. Rents are higher in our area to pay for the high property taxes. Yet Gounardes thinks you want to see him playing with a toy in a video. See dumb video:
Why doesn’t Andrew Gounardes’ wife or parents tell him to stop making silly videos?

March 1, 2026Chris McCreight – The Guy Who Was Silent When Corruption Happened in Bay Ridge

Justin Brannan wants Chris McCreight to win:

Chris McCreight was the guy who stayed silent when:
a) Justin Brannan carved his own home out of the City of Yes and then voted for the City of Yes. Info: https://shorturl.at/PlLSk
b) When Justin Brannan voted to demap Coney Island for the casino, Chris McCreight stayed silent. The residents had to fight against the casino at meetings for months! McCreight attended the meeting and is seen in the back laughing and playing on his phone. He didn’t speak out or cheer on any Coney Island resident who spoke out against the casino.

c) Chris McCreight didn’t tell us that he accepted $3000.00 from the Hotel Pac: New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council Committee. McCreight is interested in representing them or he would have refused their money!

d) Why didn’t Chris McCreight tell Bay Ridge that he accepted $500 from Domenic Recchia?Recchia was in the Lobbyist Database – he lobbied Brannan over rezoning of 2300 Cropsey Avenue (See the building here)

Recchia was in the Lobbyist Database – he lobbied Brannan over rezoning of 2300 Cropsey Avenue (See the building here)

e) Our district was gerrymandered. Info:
https://shorturl.at/4XAdP Politicians shouldn’t have been able to choose their voters by omitting Republicans in Dyker Heights from the district map.
f) The Nathan’s school deal went down. Why didn’t Chris McCreight speak out against the “secret lobbying?” Info:
https://shorturl.at/LVPp2
g) The school that never happened on 88th Street and 5th Avenue because the property needs a Brownfield Cleanup. The same man who owned Nathan’s property owned this property. Info:

h) In February 2023, a new high school was announced. Nothing has been built yet. Community Board 10 members questioned how this property could go through as it doesn’t have an exit on another street. Bay Ridge parents pushed for a high school in other areas where the schools were overcrowded. Info:
https://shorturl.at/8I2nD
Justin Brannan announced this location as an elementary school:

In 2024, the permits were filed:
i) Last election, Chris McCreight’s flyers didn’t say he supports Charter Schools. Yet, Politico wrote that McCreight accepted $68,000 from these groups representing Charter Schools. GREEDY! “The PAC for charter schools, Democrats for Education Reform spent $43,000 on Chris McCreight. McCreight has also seen $25,000 spent on a mailer from New Yorkers for a Balanced Albany, another charter school PAC. (Source)

j) The Democratic Assembly gave Christopher McCreight $78,000.00. That’s crazy!

k) Peter Abbate pushed Chris McCreight in the last election:

l) Chris McCreight Made a lot of $1.00 donations to himself. Why? Was this to make it look like there were more smaller donations?

This is another hard loss for Bay Ridge.
Tony Gentile, the former owner of Lonestar Bar for over fifteen years died.

Tony fought cancer for a long time. Now he is with God and no longer in pain.
Tony knew how to throw a great party and he will be missed by many people who loved his sense of humor, watched the game and celebrated important moments at Lonestar.
Prayers for the love of his life, Tracy, his children and dogs.
RIP Tony.
