What’s Coming to the Rite Aid on 69th Street and 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge?

Bay Ridge Cinemas shared a peek into 6900 – 4th Avenue. The workers there said it was becoming a grocery store. I think people in the area may be glad to hear that!

April 6, 2026Owls Head Park’s Unannounced Opening. Looks Good Far Away, Go In And See the Problems!

For weeks Owls Head Park has been quietly been used by children and teens who went through the hole in the fence. *No one has repaired the fence and stopped them.
Owl Head Park construction was supposed to be completed in February:

Over the weekend, many families were using the playground, and basketball courts at Owl’s Head Park. Parks Department employees were present in the park and didn’t ask them to leave.
There are signs in the park stating that it is not open yet, but the fences are down and the Parks Department employees aren’t fixing them:

An school drove a bus of children to the park for Passover. Schools have been going to Owls Head Park for years, especially during Passover. About 50 people were in the playground area, while others were playing basketball.
Since Bay Ridge has social media politicians, no one bothered having the barriers fixed. Hopefully, the park is safe for the early visitors.
Since the new park isn’t open yet, there were not enough trash bins, so the trash bins present were overflowing and trash was on the ground.
There are a lot of design problems at this park:
a) The fences are very low. A child can easily climb out!
b) There is no area for big kids.
c) There is only one slide now.
d) They removed a lot of the water play that families loved.
d) There are a lot less tress and shade in the park. There are a lot more benches for some reason.

April 5, 2026Happy Easter Bay Ridge!

Happy Easter to all of my neighbors!

If you are away from God this Easter, in the Bible, He invites you back 66 times. “Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty and I will return to you.” (Zechariah 1:3)
People ask me: How can I return to God after all these years? Say any prayer you know – even one you made up to begin the conversation (that’s how I did it).
If you aren’t ready to do that yet, read Jeremiah 29:11: https://shorturl.at/2O27Z
If you are bothered by this message, don’t be. This message is meant for someone that God is pursing.

April 3, 2026Assemblyman Found a Brooklyn Hotel Turned Migrant Shelter is Now a NYC Homeless Shelter

Assemblyman Michael Novakhov found that a Sleep Inn Hotel Sheepshead Bar that had been a migrant shelter was not turned into a homeless shelter.

Under Eric Adams, the migrant shelters were supposed to change back to regular hotels. Hotels are not supposed to be used for homeless shelters in NYC any longer.
Watch the Assemblyman visit the hotel:
I went to the Sleep Inn Hotel in Sheepshead Bay today because the silence from the city is unacceptable.

This site was used during the migrant crisis under Mayor Adams, and at the time, we were told these were temporary measures. Now, instead of returning these locations back to… pic.twitter.com/XyCu3iNiTj
Assemblyman Novakhov asked one of the staff members if he could book a room at the Sleep Inn Hotel, The staffer says he can’t book a room because it is a homeless shelter.

April 3, 2026Police Release SUPER BLURRY Suspect’s Picture From 3/21 Robbery on 86th Street in Bay Ridge

Why are the police releasing a low quality image like the one above. This is on this social media post: https://shorturl.at/bDgPQ
No one is going to be able to identify the thief because it’s too unclear. Where is all of our tax money going to?
Our area is not being maintained if camera images look like that. Even $40 cameras produce better images.
On March 21st at 7:16 pm, a 45-year-old father with a stroller was approached by a thief outside of PC Richards at 576 – 86th Street.
They had a verbal dispute. Then the thief punched the head in the head and stole his phone.
