Tonight , the police were driving around and ticketing cars parked at hydrants in then 70’s in Dyker Heights. A huge snow storm is on the way.

Who Won The Bay Ridge Wing War Today?
Congratulations Bar Chuzo!
Congratulations Rommy and Dana!
This afternoon, Brooklynites tried chicken wings at many restaurants and bars in Bay Ridge. In the end, Bar Chuzo was the restaurant that received the most votes in the Bay Ridge Wing Wars.

Get a Sled for the Big Snow Storm
You can find sleds in Bay Ridge at:

1) Ovington House & Hardware at 6926 3rd Avenue had the most. They had the round disc for $19.99 and the long sled for $29.99
2) United Hardware on 3rd Avenue and 79th Street $24.99 for the long plastic sleds.
3) Ace Hardware at 8111 5th Avenue 718-748-0960
4) Dyker Hardware at 7622 – 13th Avenue.
Sporting Good Stores:
1) Legends Sporting Goods – they have the very thin ones for $7.99
2) Panda Sport at 9213 5th Avenue only has the large long plastic sleds now. They are $65. 718-238-4919

Great turnout at the card show at St. Phillips Church at 1072 – 80th Street. They are there until 4:00 pm today.

Woman’s Necklace Robbed on 78th Street
Today, a woman was robbed of her necklace in her driveway on 78th Street between Ridge Blvd. and Colonial Road.
The thieves drove away in a car.
Neither the 68th Precinct, Councilwoman Kayla Santosuosso or Senator Gounardes mentioned this to the community on Friday, January 24th. We have all these ways to communicate online to help keep the community safe, but the people who should be communicating aren’t doing their jobs.

Police Tell Public About 12/6 Robbery at 79th Street Station in Bensonhurst TODAY
Today the photo above was shared with the community.
These suspects grabbed a 63-year-old man as he was leaving the 79th Street station in Bensonhurst round 7 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2025. They punched and kicked him and stole his wallet.

Former Councilman Justin Brannan Wanted To Be Able to Park in Commercial Parking Zones
In 2022, Bay Ridge received many commercial parking zones. Justin Brannan was lobbied over the commercial parking zones and he voted in favor of them.
Now that it is 2026, Brannan wants “for hire” cars to be able to use the commercial parking zones. Thank God he is out of office, but how many more bills for lobbyists are we going to see?
In 2024, Justin Brannan’s vehicle was seen in the commercial parking near Paneantico. So these spots were put in to take from the community! Info:

Banksy Mural in Coney Island is Sold
The NY Post has a great story about a property owner in Coney Island, who sold a Banksy mural that was created on the side of their building. They didn’t disclose how much they sold it for.
