May 1, 2017El-Yateem Points Out that MTA Flyers were not Translated into Different Languages…..Neither is His Church’s Website
When I first heard of Khader El-Yateem, I went to his church website to see who he was. The church’s out-of-date website has announcements about events from November 2016 and Easter 2016. The only thing translated to Arabic on the site was the word Welcome.
El-Yateem’s church has a survey online, but if you were a new immigrant and you went to the site, you wouldn’t be able to answer the survey unless you knew English. This man wants to be our councilman and tell us he knows all about Arabic people and immigrants, but doesn’t think he owes his community the Arabic translation of his site. SMH.
Khader El-Yateem was outside the station today while Bay Ridge had to go to work. He set up his stand and called for the press like a typical pol. In Sunset Park, when the MTA didn’t come through, the City Council hopeful rented a bus and brought passengers to the next station. El-Yateem was just out to complain that everyone didn’t know about the station being closed because the MTA didn’t translate the information to different languages.
Why didn’t El-Yateem translate and spread the information about the train through the community since he claims he is a community leader?

May 1, 2017Marty Doesn’t Want Mansions Taxed More – What Else is New?
Blah, blah, blah — don’t tax the rich people says Marty Golden. See the story at The Real Deal….Golden wants to repeal the bill so when someone buys a one million dollar+ mansion they don’t have to pay more tax. Ahhh that Senator Golden, he’s so thoughtful.
Blah, blah, blah….Let’s give more money, computers, free everything to people who don’t work says Mayor DeBlasio.
No one is speaking out for the middle class which is getting taxed like crazy (well in Bay Ridge, not Park Slope because the Mayor owns two homes in Park Slope and pays less tax than we pay for a similar home).

April 30, 2017Malliotakis uses Linda Sarsour as a Scapegoat to Capture the Jewish Vote
In February 2017, a Jewish cemetery was vandalized in St. Louis, Missouri. Linda Sarsour created a Launch Good crowdfunding project which raised $162,468 to repair the cemetery.
Malliotakis issued a press release that Kings County Politics blog printed. Malliotakis stated that Linda Sarsour was “a product of growing anti-Semitism.”
FACT: Although BDS supporters are often seen as antisemitic, Sarsour had show support/respect to the Jewish community. Sarsour has Jewish supporters. May 7th Update: And Rabbis come to bat for Sarsour.
Malliotakis wrote, “CUNY should rescind the invitation to Ms. Sarsour and consider a more suitable speaker, perhaps one who unites people rather than dividing them, to address its students,” said Malliotakis.”
FACT: Linda Sarsour was one of the women who organized the Woman’s March on Washington that brought 500,000 people together.
You may not agree with what Linda Sarsour says (like this, this or this), but you have to give her credit for being a Muslim woman who is speaking out and leading other women to do the same.
FACT: Malliotakis knew Linda Sarsour and Sarsour’s heart. In 2012, they issued a statement against hate together. Sarsour actually strongly supported Malliotakis’ run for Congress when hardly anyone else did.
Nicole Malliotakis is trying to run a campaign on hate like Donald Trump did. You can be morally bankrupt, but eventually that will get you in the end (and you still won’t be the mayor or NYC). I guess we are going to have months of Malliotakis press release politics and fact-checking as well.

April 28, 2017My father died seven years ago. I am reminded of him almost everyday.
Before he died, he laid in a hospital bed for a few weeks unable to talk. I went and sat beside his bed and said everything that was on my mind. Most people don’t get the opportunity to do this. I told my father something he wasn’t aware of. A few years after his death, I found out that he didn’t know about what I spoke to him about. I can imagine he must have been surprised by what I said, but angry and betrayed by those who kept the information from him. I’m glad he knew before he passed.

April 23, 2017Nicole Malliotakis Wants to Be Our Mayor – Sit Down Malliotakis!
Kings County Politics Blog ran the picture below with the title: “2017 Citywide Elections: Real Life Fearless Girl Not Afraid Of De Blasio”
Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis wants to be Mayor of NYC. Malliotakis sent out a press release to the Kings County Blog and CHOSE to refer to herself as a girl. She’s a middle-aged woman! Does Marty Golden or any man in politics refer to themselves as a boy? No of course not! This explains why THIS GIRL thought it was okay to bring her art supplies to work.
‘That Girl’ Malliotakis is sitting and waiting on John Catsimatidis to make a move in his life, which will determine if she can make a move in hers. What woman does that? This isn’t a game of hopscotch where you need to wait your turn to go. Remember when Congressman Grimm stepped down to go to jail and Malliotakis ran around like a chicken without a head trying to get the Republican Party to support her for the position? They went with Dan Donovan instead.
Many think Malliotakis is just seeking a position with Trump, but Malliotakis was a main supportor of Marco Rubio, rather than Trump during the presidential election – see the NYC Republicans video. Ironically, they referred to Malliotakis as a little girl as well. In fact, in the comments of that video, Senator Diane Savino chastised those who referred to Malliotakis as a little girl (see here). What does Savino have to say now that she has seen Malliotakis refer to herself as a girl? Nothing….as usual.
Nicole Malliotakis has followed men in their voting and then remained silent about her vote, even though she is active on social media. She remained silent when leaders in her party did the wrong thing. Assemblywoman Malliotakis plays politics and wastes money. As an Assemblywoman in Brooklyn, she’s been an awful representative towards a community with many immigrants. Nicole wanted to keep the identification of people who obtained IDNYC so she sued the city. The NY State Supreme Court said Malliotakis did not have standing to sue the city. Nicole didn’t respect the courts decision and is now appealing the decision. It’s easy to go after immigrants; a better woman would be helping to change the law to help people become legal citizen, especially for young adults who came here when they were young children.
Every time someone tells me that Malliotakis is good, I ask them to name something she has done AND NO ONE CAN.
Malliotakis has very few bills that she initiated and passed through the Assembly. When she runs for office, she minimizes that by saying, “my colleagues and I did this…” In fact, Malliotakis has taken credit for another Assemblywoman’s work. I called her out on it and she did not correct the problem. An important bill to protect police office called the Blue Alert Bill that was initiated with Senator Golden & Assemblywoman Malliotakis did not receive the proper attention/work – a Senator from Maryland and Obama has to push the bill through for New York. I noticed that Senator Golden doesn’t use Malliotakis as his Assembly contact when he wants to push bills that are important to him (like 421a – Tax Breaks for Developers).
I’d be glad to get Malliotakis out of Bay Ridge, but NYC would be worse off. A few years ago, Malliotakis was on the Education Committee and she pushed the Apple Plan. The Apple Plan was not a solution to the problems of NYC and I let her know. She didn’t care – the booklet for the plan was printed and she continued to push it. Thankfully it was voted down in the Assembly. It would just be press release after press release claiming that things in the city were great to make it look like ‘That Girl’ Malliotakis was actually doing something (like this or this) for the city.
There are some fantastic women in New York City that should run or mayor – Leticia James should be on everyone’s mind as she is present in all the boroughs and knows the problems that NYC faces. Mallitakis can go wait on another man, Joe Borelli to make a move in his life, so she can.
