October 7, 2017Celebrate Sukkot in a Hut in Bay Ridge
The Bay Ridge Jewish Center at 405 – 81 Street is having a Sukkot Celebration called “Celebrate Sukkot with Pizza in a Hut” on Sunday, October 8th from 2-4 pm.
So cool.
This synagogue does a lot of outreach. I’m not Jewish, but I just see this synagogue is so inviting to the community. Even before they told people about the event, it was announced with these words in capital letters: EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND.

October 7, 2017The Backroom Deal Controlling Our Election
If you follow politics in Bay Ridge, you know that John Quaglione and others have a “backroom deal” which controls our election.
John Quaglione told the paper in detail about the deal during the Summer.
In the newspaper today, Gerald Kassar, chairman of the Brooklyn Conservative Party Julianne Cuba that “John Quaglione said she was lying in the article.” Kassar denied knowing anything about the deal. Update: Mike Long, head of the Cnservatives said that Kassar knew about the deal as Kassar had to sign the paperwork for the placeholder candidate, John Bruno to get the position and Quaglione to take his spot.
You would think the Conservative Party would have an ounce of common sense and close the ballot line once John Bruno left it SINCE John Quaglione blabbered about “the placeholder candidate” to the press more than a month ago. If the Conservative Party thought Quaglione was a good candidate, they would have given him the party line to begin with.

October 5, 2017John Quaglione is Playing Politics
A Bay Ridge resident reached out to Justin Brannan on Facebook for help at the park. Everyone tags Justin Brannan to get help in Bay Ridge (you can see Brannan’s name is in blue for those not familiar with tagging).
Within two hours, Brannan responded.
That Monday, October 2nd, the resident thanked Brannan because the area was cleaned up.
Brannan received praise under his pseudo name as well.
THREE DAYS LATER……
On Thursday, October 5th John Quaglione decided to chime in (I saw this post at 8:30 pm today- it was posted 13 hours ago – around 7:30 am this morning)
SERIOUSLY?! John Quaglione added nothing of value to the thread. Could he have helped someone else in Bay Ridge today? That would take work and why should he do that when he can just piggyback off of Justin’s Brannan’s action?
We get it -> Quaglione is campaigning 24/7, but he had the arrogance to respond three days later and act like he did something when his opponent already handled the situation.
Why would Quaglione bother the Parks Manager after HE KNOWS that Brannan has already handled this?
Brannan is too much of a gentleman to say anything to Quags.
We’re just tired of John Quaglione playing politics in our area.
The Shore Road Conservancy can’t maintain a huge park so Gentile run cleanups there.
