Video by Adam West
A 30 year old Bay Ridge woman was a pedestrian on Dahlgren Place. She was struck around 10:00 am Tuesday morning by Jin Lau, the 69 year old driver. The woman was dragged about 30-50 feet by Lau’s white van. She was taken to the hospital – hopefully she will be okay. *Prayers*

December 4, 2017Marty Golden’s Family Business is in the News Again
On Twitter I saw this:
The Story is here. The most surprising part of the article is this: “A total of $797,000 in campaign dollars — mostly from Golden’s own account — have gone to Bay Ridge Manor, according to campaign finance records. That includes about $22,000 from Golden’s campaign itself so far this year.
In 2014, when Golden was challenged by Kemmerer, the amount that had gone to the Bay Ridge Manor was $541,599. Golden knows that people are going to complain about money going to his family’s business so why does he continue to do it?

December 4, 2017John Quaglione Spent $13K at the Bay Ridge Manor
John Quaglione works for Marty Golden. During his campaign, Quaglione spent $13,000 at his boss’ family business.
Quaglione ran for office in 2013 and I didn’t recall him using the Bay Ridge Manor (because he didn’t – look).
Quaglione participated in the campaign finance program so he was using taxpayers money at Golden’s family business.
Bay Ridge is lucky we got this right.

December 3, 2017Why is Senator Golden Writing Bills for Other Areas?
![]()
Senator Martin Golden represents Bay Ridge and other parts of Brooklyn. Yet, he specifically wrote a bill for a business in NYC – in another Senator’s district. The bill is to allow this business to sell alcohol. I’m sure there are many merchants on Third who would love to sell liquor and have Senator Golden write a bill for them. Yet, we don’t see Senator Golden writing bills for Bay Ridge merchants.
Here is the bill
Why is Senator Golden writing bills for Nassau County?
Those areas have their own senators to do things. Golden should be helping our area. This is the reason things aren’t being done here.
Senator Golden’s website is very outdated so there are no explanations for these bills.

December 2, 2017NYCTrees – No Show in Brooklyn
NYC Trees had a deal for Black Friday. I thought it would be a good idea to have them deliver during the week so we could get up early on Saturday and decorate. I put in an order.
Yet, NYC Trees didn’t deliver and they didn’t call or e-mail to say there was any problems. How can they be the #1 delivery service if they fail to deliver and don’t even contact a customer?
I checked my credit card and I was charged for the items already.
When I called the number that my credit card company had for NYCTrees, the number was out of service. When I called the number on their website, it was a Google number and there is no answering machine.
I finally get someone on the phone, but they weren’t able to locate my account with the order number. She located it with my name and asked me if I rescheduled the delivery. We hadn’t.
The woman rescheduled delivery for the early evening between 5 and 8 pm and apologizes for the delay.
Right before 8 pm, the delivery man called and said he will be here within 45 minutes.
At 8:30 pm, we received another call saying the driver was still in Manhattan.
We cancelled the order because we can just get supplies locally without all of the hassle and complaining. If a company can’t handle delivering to Brooklyn, they shouldn’t offer it. Maybe NYCTrees is a good company for Manhattan residents, but it wasn’t good for us in Brooklyn.
