Police Are Searching for this Thief – Who Robbed a Bay Ridge Resident on 84th Street on 7/4/25
It was reported to police that on Friday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 12:40 pm, a 71-year-old female victim was entering her apartment building at Anastasia Court on 84th Street and 4th Avenue. This man pretended he was plumber in the area and offered to assist the woman with her walker.
Shortly after the victim entered her apartment, the unidentified individual knocked on her door to inform her that he came to fix her water leak. The individual entered the victim’s apartment and instructed her repeatedly to turn the water faucet on and off. The individual remained in the hallway and removed $230 from the victim’s purse and proceeded to the bedroom, where he also removed jewelry valued at approximately $900.
The unidentified individual then fled the location on foot, traveling southbound on 4 Avenue to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The sought individual is described as a male with light complexion, partially bald and heavy build. He was last seen wearing white t-shirt, dark-colored pants and white sneakers.

It looks like Zohran Mamdani’s team didn’t like the reused graphic, so they recreated an endorsement graphic from the Bay Ridge Democrats.

July 16, 202573-Year-Old Man Attacked on The 86th Street Train Platform With His Own Cane
On Monday, July 14th around 4:00 pm, a 73-year-old man was beat with his own cane on the 86th Street train platform by another man. This information is being shared by journalists on Wednesday, July 16th.
The man was taken to the hospital because he has a broken arm and a cut near his eye.
As of this morning, the police are searching for the attacker pictured above. He has a beard and was last seen wearing a white vest, black pants, gray sneakers and orange gloves. News:
Why didn’t the police and politicians share this information on Monday evening or Tuesday morning, so residents could be on alert?

July 15, 2025Why is Kayla Santosuosso Making Videos About Poorly Maintained Park Bathrooms at Work?
This morning, Kayla Santosuosso posted a video about the bathrooms at the park on Shore Road and 79th Street. Why is Kayla making videos for her campaign at work?
The video is kind of gross as she is trying to be cute peeping over the door to the bathroom stall and trying to flush a broken toilet.
NYC Council announced this Spring that they would increase the number of public access bathrooms so they will be upgrading ones in each community. How come Kayla didn’t share that?
We don’t need a Council representative who is going to make a video in the bathroom. We need one who is going to call NYC Parks and tell them to fill the soap and toilet paper. We need a representative who will tell NYC Parks to maintain the existing bathroom.
How was millions of dollars spent on parks, but the bathrooms not updated? Kayla Santosuosso isn’t concerned with that. That needs to be questioned because we have some updated parks with outdated AND poorly maintained bathrooms.
Many families won’t go to the park in our area because they don’t want their children to use the dirty bathrooms.
We need a Council representative who can do the real work – not play on social media by posting videos of themselves doing nothing but fooling you!
