Republicans Teens Not So Loud or Bold
Kadia Goba reported about The Brooklyn Teen Republicans protest yesterday, March 11th. (See video here).
The club president was heard saying: “Hear us loud and clear Pamela Harris, it is time for you to resign.”
It’s a good message. But…..
The only one who heard the not-so-fierce teens was the invited press, as Harris and her staff were enjoying their weekend. A clear sign of this was the closed store front with the gate down.
Where did the teens get the idea to hold a rally where the intended target can’t see or hear them? They must have seen Senator Golden and Malliotakis operate this way, so the figured they would too. Here’s the problem with that: Nothing actually gets done.
If the Republican Teens wanted to be heard, they would have planned for a rally on a weekday and hopped on the train to Coney Island and rallied in front of Harris’ main office so Harris (or her employees) could hear them. Where’s their fearless leaders – Marty Golden, Nicole Malliotakis, etc.? How come they didn’t get much support from the Brooklyn Republican Party?
Strangely, Pam Harris doesn’t represent at least three protestors (maybe more).

March 12, 2018T-Shirts for St. Patrick’s Day – March 17th
I know you are going to ask me where we got our shirts, so I am letting you know where you can get some St. Patty Day shirts of your own. I do not know this shop and this shop doens’t know me. I just know they have St. Patty’s Day shirts and you can customize them.
Military Tapes Shop at 7919 7th Avenue is selling St. Patty’s Day t-shirts for $10.00. They also have hats.
They make custom shirts like the one above, but you have to order 5 or more to get a good price on them. But they look great when they have a family name on them.

March 10, 2018Nicole Malliotakis’ Mess in Bay Ridge – 7919 5th Avenue
It’s been months since Nicole Malliotakis lost the mayoral election. Yet, the 5th Avenue storefront she used as her headquarters in Bay Ridge still has her election signs, handouts and even a cookie tin.
I went to go look because Malliotakis fan said the pictures were old. Nope – this situation exists in Bay Ridge while Easter decorations are in the store window at the chocolate shop on the block.

Assemblywoman Malliotakis lost her chief-of-staff, so she should have cleaned up the mess in Bay Ridge before she returned the keys.

March 10, 2018Senator Golden Schedules an Appointment for a Month From Now
Mallory McMahon shared that’s she’s been trying to speak to Senator Golden about money that is owed to Bay Ridge schools. She’s called his office in Brooklyn and Albany. The Albany office told her they only had interns who could speak to her, yet there are employees on the payroll there. While attempting to leave her contact number with the intern, McMahon found out that they have called ID and see her name and number when the phone rings.
McMahon was able to schedule an appointment to speak to Senator Golden ONE MONTH FROM NOW.
REALLY?
Years ago, I called Marty Markowitz’s office, the former Brooklyn Borough President on a Saturday, he personally returned my call on Sunday. I wrote about it here in 2013. Did Markowitz need to call me the next day – no, of course not. Markowitz’s commitment to the public was obviously a lot stronger than Marty Golden’s.
Senator Golden should call McMahon and speak to her about the money that is owed to public schools in Bay Ridge. It doesn’t need to be done today, but when he has a free moment during the week, that should be done.
Senator Golden isn’t a surgeon, whose booked all month. Yes, he is busy in Albany, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some down town and can make a phone call to a resident. Golden’s an elected representative and he should be able to speak about what he has done for education. Maybe Golden hasn’t directed his scheduler or is unaware that McMahon needs to speak to him about education, a topic that is so important to many of us. Golden was is here in Brooklyn now, as he took pictures in his office and posted them on social media.

I am going to post this on Twitter because at least two of Golden’s staff members follow me and they will tell him. If Golden fulfills his obligation in contacting McMahon in an appropriate time, I will update this.
October 2018: Golden never met with Mallory McMahon. At a debate in Bay Ridge, Mallory asked Senator Golden about it and he told her that he didn’t have the time for her. Golden was so arrogant and thought it was okay for him to speak like that to a constituent. Please vote him out.
