A 44-year-old man was robbed by two men inside his car on 84th Street between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue on Friday, March 23. The victim, who was robbed of $480. Story here

It’s a chilly day in March and you probably aren’t thinking about the 5th Avenue Festival in Bay Ridge on June 3rd.
But that’s probably because you don’t want to be rich.
If you wanted to be rich, you would be booking a spot and figuring out what you could sell or offer for like $5 – $10 that would make people stop while walking through a festival.
Most people would willingly spend $5-$10 on something at the festival – food, drink, a quick activity, a fast massage, learning to do something quick, something fun or unique etc. Have someone make their own cannoli, build a baklava, have a temporary tattoo or nail design station. People love anything personalized – even if it is just a computer printout of the history of their name!

Councilman Justin Brannan hired Wildcat to clean Third Avenue. Already Bay Ridge is looking better now that Brannan is our Councilman!
I know so many people ask Councilman Brannan for help, so I just wanted to say thank you so he knows that he is doing a great job as our Councilman! I know some of the things aren’t fun or glamorous, but it’s things like this that are important to us!
When I come home from work and head down to the Avenue, Bay Ridge feels like Bay Ridge…..and if you live here, you know how good that is!

March 21, 2018Senator Golden is Stopping the BQE from Repairs
Senator Marty Golden and his political friends in Albany pols linked fixing the BQE with putting an armed officer in schools (even though everyone knows there were three armed officers at the Parkland school and they didn’t do anything when the shooting started).
Golden’s friends in Albany don’t care if schools in NYC have an armed officer and they certainly don’t care if the Brooklyn Queens Expressway is repaired.
BUT SENATOR GOLDEN SHOULD BE ADVOCATING FOR BOTH. Here’s the petition for the BQE.

March 20, 2018Peter Rabbit Show in Bay Ridge – March 25th
On Sunday, March 25th Peter Rabbit, a Children’s Opera will be performed at the Union Church at 7915 Ridge Blvd in Bay Ridge from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
Tickets: $15 adults $10 children. Children under 2 years old – free. It looks super cute – see video!
The show is about 30 minutes and then there is time for the children to ask questions and talk to the performers.

Saw @JarekFA tweet about Marty Golden opposing SBS treatment for the B82 because of parking?
28,000 people ride the B 82 bus daily! And that’s with it barely moving (F report card). A lot more people take the bus, than park on Kings Highway.
