April 9, 2018Dan Donovan is Going to “Drop a Bill”
Congressman Dan Donavan went on Fox 5 and said, “We are going to drop a bill next week.” If you haven’t heard Donovan wants to waste time by “dropping a bill” about putting the President and Vice Presidents picture in the post office. (No I am not kidding – see here)
Why would a Congressman speak like that? Because he has nothing to lose. Although Dan said on Fox 5 that he was handling other things, we haven’t seen it in Bay Ridge.
To that one Staten Island resident who noticed the problem: It’s interesting that you care what picture you look at while you are buying stamps in the post office. Couldn’t you have asked the Post Master about the photo? People are dying in Staten Island from heroin overdoses and the Congressman chose your problem to highlight. Donovan even wasted time and went to the Fox studio to talk about.
Donovan has been a no show for two Town Hall Meetings (one in Bay Ridge and one in Staten Island). He’s too busy.
One day Dan’s Donovan’s daughter will know that when her father had the chance to make a difference in Staten Island, he played around with television reporters talking about “dropping a bill” which isn’t important.
Who knows maybe Donovan will drop a bill that matters to Staten Islanders before he leaves office in January.

Fight Back Bay Ridge prepared an impressive Voter’s Guide for NY 11’s election (Bay Ridge and Staten Island). The primary is on June 26th.

You will see that Omar Vaid is not part of the book. Omar chose not to participate, even though he wants to run to represent this community. The Fight Back Bay Ridge group did ask him and all other candidates to take part in the book and it was free as well.
