August 11, 2018Omar Vaid – the Internet Candidate that Never Represented Bay Ridge and Just Drifted Off into the Abyss
Omar Vaid did everything to try to convince us that he represented Bay Ridge. Not so ironically he had another address change. Remember he even changed his address to a PO Box in 11209 to try to fool everyone.

He claimed he could beat Max Rose and then go on to beat Dan Donovan. LOL.
![]()
No one in Bay Ridge knew him. Very few in Bay Ridge were fooled by this character. There was no talk about him here and there weren’t even any signs for Omar Vaid here.
The Internet believed him and he collected a lot of money. Even stars like Rosie O’Donnell threw money at home.
Yet he couldn’t even get 10% of the vote here in Bay Ridge.
And now no one hears from Omar Vaid anymore. I don’t write this for Omar Vaid, but for a neighborhood inwhich carpet baggers continuously come in and try to run for government. No thank you.

August 10, 2018Teen at FHHS Made Up Story to Police – Accidently Stabbed By Friend
This afternoon a 16 year old teenager was playing around with his friend and got stabbed (accidently). He was in the park near Fort Hamilton High School,so he went to the FHHS Safety Officer for help. The Safety Officer reported the stabbing to the NYPD.
Councilman Brannan confirmed there was an incident and continued to update until the police got to the bottom of the story – the teen made up the story (the purple box above was Brannan’s last message).
![]()
The teen told the police that he was slashed and that the perp fled on foot on 85th Street. The 68th Precinct got to the bottom of the story and Councilman Brannan updated everyone that the teen made up the story and was stabbed accidently. The teen was brought to NYU Langone for minor wound.
Okay so the kid lied – he probably didn’t want to get in trouble with his Mom so he made up a story. The bad part is that his lie brought out the NYPD and the emergency response team (helicopters were flying low over the area). They all responded quickly to the teen’s claim of violence.
We’re glad the teen is okay and no one was seriously hurt.

August 10, 2018How Much Money Has Marty Golden Given to His Family’s Business from His Campaign?
Surprisingly, this is legal. Why? Because people who represent us in the state government aren’t willing to regulate themselves and write a rule that says that you can’t use campaign funds at your family’s business.
Andrew Gounardes is ready to put an end to this.
For Bay Ridge, if Golden is no longer the Senator, restaurants in the area will be used by the new senator and our area will flourish. Since neither of Golden’s competitors has a catering hall, that would be a good thing for the Third and Fifth Avenue Merchants.
Restaurants in Bay Ridge that have large party rooms like the Wicked Monk, the Greenhouse Cafe, Schnitzel Haus, etc. would all benefit from new leadership.

August 9, 2018NYC Loses Under Corey Johnson

Shoe/Socks off – she’s all in for her neighborhood
Yesterday, NYC Council votes to rezone Inwood (info). The people have been protesting against this A LOT. Why? Because the plans hurts minority communities – they always do.
NYC loses each time NYC folds to developers. In areas like Sunset Park in Brooklyn, people are treated the same way as those in Inwood – as if they don’t matter. Sunset Park is also a similiar ethnic makeup to Inwood.
Inwood’s Ethnic Makeup
Sunset Park’s Ethnic Makeup
My family owned property in Downtown Brooklyn (near Macy’s – off Fulton). NYC played the same game with us as they tried to use eminent domain illegally on business owners in the area. My family invested with their friends when NO ONE wanted to be in Downtown Brooklyn. For years, the business owners banned together and fought to secure their street while thieves were always trying to break in. The city’s plans were to bulldoze our neighbor’s property and put in a huge park. That never happened. In fact, nothing that was in the original NYC city plan ever happened. What did happen is that employees of NYC slipped into private businesses and their inside knowledge helped developers have a land grab. Downtown Brooklyn has now been gentrified, which we believe that was the plan all along.
When NYC Council comes together – they vote together against residents. It doesn’t matter who the Council Speaker is, they are all the same. Communities should belong to those who invested and took the time to build it, not to developers who made under the table deals. The community of Inwood wasn’t the only loser today – all of NYC lost under Corey Johnson today. When will NYC have leadership that reflects the people rather than the developers?
Below is a photo circulating of Johnson playing volleyball in his socks.
Notice the woman in the top picture is standing on the pole in NYC with no shoes or socks…..sometimes people are ALL IN and will put everything they got into their community and sometimes people just want to take a photo.
