Marty Golden Staff’s Has Gone Too Far
Senator Golden is running for re-election. People will vote against him or vote for him for various reasons. Those voting by his record know he hasn’t don’t well by this community in the recent years (that’s why people keep asking: What happened to Marty Golden?)
Obviously, some of his staff is upset by this election and have been acting out online and attacking people. Today Councilman Brannan posted this:
What’s wrong with that? Councilman Brannan isn’t running for office. Why would anyone be interested in taking a photo of his wife’s car?
Those commenting on the tweet mention that it is creepy. I would say it’s gone further and it is past creepy – it’s time to call police and your attorney. Now maybe this is what political people do, but when someone enters your family’s life – it’s not just joking anymore.
Picture Updated: Senator Golden’s wife’s account responded to Brannan. She didn’t say she would speak to her husband to make sure it doesn’t continue. She wrote about people taking a photo of her car. Golden’s friends liked the comment. Wasn’t one of the people who took a photo of her car at her husband’s rally yesterday? Maybe Senator Golden’s wife sees this as a joke?

Have you seen Nicole Malliotakis in Brooklyn speaking in our area about garbage? Where has she been all of these YEARS?
Malliotakis hasn’t spoken out about garbage in Brooklyn since July 2017 when she had her failed run for mayor.
Why hasn’t Malliotakis spoken up about cleaning up Bay Ridge until today? DO SOMETHING….ANYTHING.
Nicole Malliotakis is hardly in Brooklyn. But since Marty Golden is having his voter encouragement day, she’s here.

October 4, 2018Solidarity Community Center in Bay Ridge
Former State Senate Candidate, Ross Barkan is turning his campaign office into a community center called Solidarity Space in Bay Ridge. Kadia Goba from Bklyner has the story here.
Solidarity Space Community Center is at 307 – 82nd Street near 3rd Avenue (Saint Anselm’s block)
Ross wanted his office to be a space for galleries, lectures, teach-ins and readings. The rent is $2000 a month and he has become good at fundraising now!
Barkan is starting a new political progressive club which will meet there. Barkan has consistently shown that he is interested in improving the neighborhood and it’s refreshing to see how he is creating a much needed community center in Bay Ridge.
