October 7, 2018Sanchos Restaurant in Bay Ridge Closed
Update: Sanchos re-opened on 10/19/19. The owner is new, but it is the same chef and the same menu. The place still says Sanchos, but the new owner called it El Sanchos. Friends posted their pics and everything at Sanchos looks beautiful!
Sanchos Restaurant is at 7410 – 3rd Avenue. It was an old skool Spanish Restaurant that has been in Bay Ridge for over 300 years.
I remember the former NYC Schools Chancellor, Carmen Farina said that she enjoyed visiting Sanchos Restaurant.
The owners of Sanchos are retiring and have closed the restaurant. Happy Retirement Celso and Camilo! Bay Ridge will miss you.

- The Columbus Day Parade in Brooklyn happened on Saturday. There is a parade in Manhattan today on Fifth Avenue between 43rd and 72nd Streets at 11:00 am.
- GreenSpa is open for massages.
- Yard sale in Bay Ridge – he used a pic of Columbus so he made the list
- The Staten Island Children’s Museum has free admission tomorrow (paid for by Macys…..and not widely shared)
- RollerJam in Staten Island has Open skating all day.
- There’s also Open Skate at Brooklyn Bridge Park from 3:30 – 6 pm
- Evening Bike ride to Spumoni Gardens with 718 Cycle (signup on site – free to join).

The moment has come for Dodging Dan Donovan to face Max Rose in a debate.
The Bay Ridge Community Council is hosting a Congressional Debate on Friday, October 12th, in the school auditorium at Xaverian High School at 7100 Shore Road in Bay Ridge from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
The televised debate will be at the College of Staten Island’s Williamson Theatre, as well as live on Channel 1 on Tuesday, October 16th at 7:00 pm – Get tickets here
Errol Louis will moderate the debate.

October 6, 2018Ted Ghorra Didn’t Attend Marty Golden’s Rally
When a political event happens in Bay Ridge, ‘Who Wasn’t There’ is just as important to note as who was there.
Ted Ghorra wasn’t at Marty Golden’s rally on Saturday.
There were other people who weren’t there, but their absence isn’t that important or notable.
We hope that Ted Ghorra takes back the party and starts with a clean slate of people. Let’s get some good representatives that many conservative Democrats will vote for. There has to be Republicans that are just interested in being in a political position and not interested in exploiting the position with pay-tp-play politics. There has to be Republicans that are interested in representing who don’t need REBNY connections.
Ghorra is connected to a lot of good people in Bay Ridge and we hope there is a fresh start to the Republican Party.

I don’t know who manages the Brooklyn Conservative Party twitter account, but why doesn’t he/she know our Senate District is #22. They wrote 43, which is the number for our Council District. Are they thinking about Councilman Brannan that much?
It’s strange that a lot of well-known Conservatives retweeted and liked it, but didn’t notice the district number. Even the former Brooklyn Conservative Party, Gerry Kassar shared the tweet with the wrong number.
One clever Brooklynite decided to let the Senator in District 43 know that Golden was running against her – LOL!
