Protesters Were Outside Senator Andrew Gounardes Office in Brooklyn
The cowardly senator and his staff didn’t respond to the large crowd of Brooklynites protesting outside of his office. They were protesting because the people want transparency on The Brooklyn Marine Terminal Project – the vote on this project has been postponed three times!
Senator Gounardes has failed to provide leadership and represent the people after all this time. A transportation study has not even been done after all this time!

Andrew Gounardes has not taken this project seriously from the start. Last Summer, meetings were held while Gounardes was out of the country at his brother’s wedding. The people running the meeting just kept repeating the same information over and over.

Before Senator Gounardes was elected to office, he was against gerrymandering and lobbyists. After being elected, the district lines were changed dramatically. We went to see who was lobbying Andrew Gounardes and trying to get hold of the Brooklyn waters. We saw this:
Andrew Gounardes should have recused himself from this project because he has received a lot of donations and this should not be a pay-to-play project. Before coming a senator, Gounardes used to speak out against the former senator for pay-to-play projects.
Charles Tebele is on the EDC that is in charge of this project. Former Mayor de Blasio appointed Charles Tebele to the EDC. See the reason why here:
Congressman Dan Goldman received donations from Tebele soon after Mayor Adams added him to this project.

Why would someone be so awful and cut the plants from the water lily pond at Narrow Botanical Garden?

June 28, 2025Justin Brannan Stopped Representing Coney Island – Help them Fight the Casino!
On Friday, the NYC Council Subcommittee of Zoning and Franchises Voted Unanimously to demap large portions of the historic Coney Island Amusement District (to give it to a casino owner!!)
The City Council vote will be on June 30. Please call your local representatives—especially Council Member Justin Brannan—to ensure our voices are heard and our iconic and historic Amusement District is protected.

June 27, 2025Scaffolding Being Put Up at Night – 96th Street in Bay Ridge
Around 8:30 pm tonight, someone on 96th Street between Marine and Shore Road was putting up scaffolding. The police came in the evening and the construction crew stopped for about a half an hour. Then they continued putting up scaffolding until 1:30 am and playing music. Many Ridgites couldn’t sleep!

June 27, 2025New Democratic District Leaders and A Real System for Elections is Needed in Brooklyn
This 22-year-olf man wanted to help Brooklyn. But the process for running for office is not correct. The Democrat District leaders don’t do their jobs and political clubs seem to have taken over on who they are endorsing, yet they don’t invite all the candidates.
There was no debate. When there is an election, there should always be a debate. But politicians in this area are so terrible, they refuse to show up for debates!
Chris McCreight and Angela should step down as they failed this young man and our community.
