Reform Party’s Public Advocate Forum 11/26

On November 26th, Bob Capano and the Reform Party will be holding a forum to hear from the candidates for Public Advocate. Eleven candidates have confirmed that they will be attending the forum.
Capano showed that the Reform Party is alive and well. So what if they have to petition to be on the ballot.

After not receiving enough votes in the Reform Party category for governor, the Reform Party lost automatic access to the ballot. It’s not the Reform Party’s fault that Molinaro was running on an anti-corruption platform, but also campaigning with Marty Golden.

Diane Savino Plays Politics After Peralta’s Death

Senator Jose Perata passed away on Thanksgiving Day. Initially, newspapers reported that Peralta died of a heart attack.

Diane Savino went on Twitter and ranted. Senator Savino missed the point of writing a polite message about her IDC colleagues’ passing. Savino was too involved in the politics and she didn’t even include his name in the tweets – Senator Peralta is referred to as “he.”

Now the news has reported that Perata’s death could have been caused by an ongoing inflection. Savino’s tweets seem even more ridiculous when she could have honored the Queens Senator for being the first elected Dominican.
Savino is the only IDC member who didn’t get voted out this Novmeber. The IDC was a group of Senators who were elected as Democrats, but rallied together and voted with the Republicans. It’s obvious that Senator Savino needs to use her warchest money on a class on being civil and decent, rather than playing politics all the time.

Everyone in Bay Ridge loved that Ben Stiller tweeted Senator-Elect Andrew Gounardes a message for Thanksgiving (see here).

Senator-Elect Gounardes tweeted back.

Stiller surprised Gounardes and knocked on doors with him in Bay Ridge right before Andrew won the election!
