Blend Coffee Shop and Cowork Space had a soft opening 6808 – 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge yesterday.
Blend Bay Ridge Coffee & CoWork Space went into the storefront where Zohny Tours Travel Agency used to be. (Last September, they wanted $4700 a month rent for this place. Hopefully, this shop to got a lower rent).
What a great idea for this location. People are always looking for place to work! And it’s right near the train.

If it’s after Memorial Day and 80 degrees, the sprinklers at the parks are on in Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Film Festival will be in Bay Ridge on Thursday, June 6th at IS 30 at 8:00 pm. All the films are comedies.

Ramadan is a time for reflection and community.
Everyone is invited to the community iftar dinner at Beit Almaqdis Mosque at 6206 – 6th Avenue from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
Come break the fast with neighbors to get to know one another better, and to commit to community building in the long term through assistance with educational and social programs provided through the Arab American Association of New York.
Please bring a dish to share. Halal meat only, no pork and no alcohol.
Many groups organized this together: Arab American Association of New York, Action Corps, Academy of Medical and Public Health Services and Bay Ridge for Social Justice.

Sorry to hear the news that Snowdrop Flowers at 7025 – 3rd Avenue is closing.
The store is moving to Staten Island. A few weeks ago, I mentioned Snowdrop because SnowDays Shaved Cream shop is opening next door.
Olga is the sweetest woman and she will be missed. I loved getting get beautiful flowers for frinds and healthy plants from her store.
The store is having a sale until it’s last day – Friday, May 31st.
