Paint Nite at Fort Hamilton Army Base 7/15

Pinot’s Palette is coming out to Fort Hamilton Army Base to teach people how to paint the above picture on a 10 x 10 canvas.
Paint Nite will be on  July 15th from 6:00- 7:30 p.m. at The Army Base – Roll & Brew Bowling & Entertainment Center – Wainwright Drive Bldg. 124 Brooklyn 11252 Google Map

Kids of all ages are welcome to take the class. $15.00 per person. Sign up here (Usually these classes cost more)

The 13th Annual Arab American Bazaar in Bay Ridge will be on Sunday, July 14th at Shore Road Park.

This year’s event will feature an amazing line-up of vendors, food, and music, including a special performance from Freedom Dabka Group.

Brooklyn Parents Want Express Bus Discount

Parents of high school students in Brooklyn, who use the Express Bus to get to high school in Manhattan want a discount.
The Express Bus costs $6.50 each way.
They need 1500 signatures and have 949 so far.
If you have a moment and believe that students should get a discount for the Express Bus, please sign the petition here.

Ridge Blvd. Residents in Bay Ridge

Do you live on Ridge Blvd?

A resident is trying to get Ridge Blvd. residents involved to fix the issue of trucks and commercial traffic on Ridge Blvd. There is already an ordinance in place, but there are no Department of Transportation signs and no enforcement.

In the near future, 2nd Avenue is also becoming one-way southbound, so more trucks will be traversing Ridge illegally. (If you haven’t heard of this, this plan is suppose to alleviate some of the traffic issues they created in Sunset Park – they plan to make this happen in 2020…see here)
