R Train is Back in Service at 95th Street
There is no R train service in both directions between 59 St and Bay Ridge – 95 Street
Apparently, there was a track fire before 4:00 am.
R trains are running along the N line in both directions between 59 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
People are walking, taking the bus, uber and car service. Shuttle buses too packed to stop at 77th Street.

Saint Finbar’s Church is starting a new youth ministry program called Lifeteen.
All teenagers face many pressures and difficult social choices. Anxiety, depression, drugs, broken homes, shattered relationships, and extreme materialism are facts of life for today’s high school teens. Life Teen provides sanctuary, hope, and acceptance for teens at a time in their lives when these positive elements can seem in short supply.
Lifeteen will provide a fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.
Edge resources make it easier for youth ministers to plan out their semesters of Edge Night, retreats, and to train a team of adults, the Core Team, to assist them in the ministry.

Update – Due to rain the concert is postponed due to rain.
On Tuesday, August 13th, The Fuzzy Lemons will perform a free concert at Shore Road Park at 79th Street & Shore Road at 7:00 PM.
The Fuzzy Lemons is Rock and Roll for Kids. This is the first time that this community has seen one of the concerts be geared towards kids….and it’s a welcome change. Don’t complain because Irish Night is coming – see here.
Face Painting and Balloon-making starts at 6:00 pm.
