Thief on 97th Street in Bay Ridge

The photo isn’t good quality because it’s being taken from a video camera.

The 68th Precinct is sharing the photos a lot more rapidly than they used to.

Starbucks is Opening on Surf Avenue in Coney Island

<

Starbucks is opening a new store at 825 Surf Avenue. This is a great opportunity for someone to score a job.  Job listing here and here.

College students – look into this as Starbucks as a college tuition program.

They also hire veterans!

Looking Beautiful Greenhouse Cafe!

Greenhouse Cafe looks beautiful because the exterior is well-maintained.

Next door to the Greenhouse Cafe is Cappacino Cafe. The owners are smart – they placed a good size bike rack outside of the Cappacino Cafe 7721 3rd Avenue (if you zoom in you can see it).

Attempted Rape at 1:20 am on 86th Street

A man tried to rape a 41-year-old woman on 86th Street and Battery Avenue around 1:00 am this morning. Story here and here

The man tried to put her in a headlock and she was able to fight him off. We are so glad she got away!  She must feel strong (but also shaken).

Ghosts of Old Politics Reappear

While the story isn’t remarkable, the comments hereespecially towards the end are semi-interesting.

Some skeletons were pulled out of the closet, some admissions and a good clapback from an old rival….LOL.

Mail Thief Caught in Bay Ridge

We won’t hear this story in the news, but we should! It’s nice to hear when the system works!

If you live in Bay Ridge, you probably noticed that some of the mailboxes have warning that someone has tampered with the box because there is a sticky substance

A strong, muscular man was seen putting his hands into the mailbox on the corner of 95th and 3rd Avenue. He pulled out a fistful of envelopes that got caught on the sticky substance. A Bay Ridge resident called the police. The 68th precinct police arrested the mail thief.
