August 3, 2025Flipped Car on Shore Road Between MacKay Place and Bay Ridge Avenue

Around 9:30 pm tonight, the Citizen App showed a flipped car on Shore Road between MacKay Place and Bay Ridge Avenue.
Hopefully no one was hurt. How fast does someone need to be going to flip their car? I don’t know anyone who has flipped their car.
The police had to pull the car upright. The owner should have to pay for using our resources/police.

August 3, 2025RIP Zoe Koutsoupakis – An Incredible Woman

Bay Ridge, we lost a great woman. Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny shared that Zoe Koutsoupakis was in Greece and she passed away from a medical emergency today.
When we moved to Bay Ridge years ago, Zoe was one of the first people to welcome us. She was a down-to-earth and a kind woman.

Weeks later, I recognized Zoe’s picture in one of the local papers. For years, Zoe Koutsoupakis was in the local newspaper because she was a pillar in this community. She involved in the community through her job as her banker, Holy Cross Greek Church and her other interests. She loved Bay Ridge and she was always helping people.

Zoe and I spoke about community issues regularly. The first time I saw her leadership was when something was happening in Bay Ridge that shouldn’t be happening, she urged everyone to call Marty Golden AND THEY DID because she was very convincing.

About two weeks ago, Zoe and I spoke in depth about something we felt strongly about. She was the same determined woman, who was ready to jump into action for Bay Ridge! Hearing about Zoe’s passing today really stings. We were lucky to have known her.
RIP Zoe – thank you for being a great neighbor. Our condolences to Zoe’s family and friends.

August 2, 2025For 30 Years, Sexy Seniors Dance on Saturday Night in Dyker Heights

Every Saturday night, about 100 people go to the Knights of Columbus on 86th Street and 13th Avenue to dance. For almost 30 years people have been gathering there to dance!
Many of the people are dressed up for the evening. The women are wearing dresses and nice tops and pants (not jeans). The men are wearing collared shirts and slacks.
The music is from the 50’s – 80’s. Some are dancing as couples and some are just friends having a great time dancing. Just sharing because I saw the videos on Traci’s FB and I know there are some sexy seniors who love to dance.

August 2, 2025Racing and Blocking the Belt Parkway

Since the Spring, there has been more videos of young men blocking and racing on the Belt Parkway.
At first I thought it was a political statement for Palestine.
But it seems to be some inconsiderate drivers with nice sports cars. See video:

At the end of April this video was taken of racing on the Belt Parkway:
