Update: This dog park has reopened.
Frank Decolvenaere Dog Run on Shore Road and 3rd Avenue is closed for the rest of August. The fence is being replaced on Shore Parkway.

RIP Fanghong Chen
Fanghong Chen was killed on 86th Street and 18th Avenue in Bath Beach this morning, around 2:00 am. She was struck a scooter than rode through a red light and then hit Fanhong. See article:

The scooter driver took off because license plates aren’t required and scooter drivers are not accountable. We have to change this. If this is the first time you are hearing about this, you can see why we have a problem.

Justin Brannan’s Foul Language In The Nation
The Nation printed Councilman Justin Brannan’s article about Zohran Mamdami and how other Democrats aren’t treating Zohran as the Democratic nominee. Brannan wrote this:
Strangely, Brannan voted to demap his own district in Coney Island, yet wrote in his article: “The moment Republicans are in power, they slit our throats on behalf of their billionaire friends.” Who did he vote to demap for? A billionaire who wants to put a casino in Coney Island!

In July, Dyker Heights residents took a photo of 82nd Street and 14th Avenue because water was pooling on their corner. They reported it to their representative.
Nothing was done.

Bay Ridge Summer Stroll – August 8, 2025 – The Last Stroll of The Season!
The last Bay Ridge Summer Stroll on 3rd Avenue from 68th Street to 82nd Street from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
1) The Ridge Kids Shop on 3rd Avenue and 82nd Street has 30% off from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
2) Friendzy will play outside of The Brooklyn Market 8102 – 3rd Avenue starting at 6:00 pm.
3) The Natives – Live Electronic Music on 81st Street and 3rd Avenue at 9:15 pm.
4) Free Children’s activities on 80th Street and 3rd Avenue.
5) The Pour House at 7901 – 3rd Avenue will have Fast Forward at 6:00 pm.
Then Six Demon Bag will play starting outside of the Pourhouse starting at 7:30 pm.
6) Bad Decisions will play outside of The Greenhouse Cafe at 7717 – 3rd Avenue starting at 6:30 pm.
7) Head and South Band outside of The Salty Dog at 7509 – 3rd Avenue starting at 6:00 pm.
8) DJ Alberto will be outside of Blue Agave Restaurant at 7215 – 3rd Avenue from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
9) Sarava Restaurant at 6819 – 3rd Avenue
10) At 9:00 pm, The Leif Bar at 6725 – 5th Avenue will have karaoke With Big G.
The only car allowed at the 3rd Avenue Festival – so cute:
