BURN!
Why would men spend their time writing messages on their Mom’s sheets and hanging the sheets in areas where people aren’t interested in their message?

February 22, 2020If Neighborhood Policing Isn’t Working For You….
![]()
In some areas, neighborhood policing works.
In the 61st Precinct, you see police cars driving around all the time.
In the 68th precinct, it doesn’t work because police officers aren’t on the street and it takes hours for the police to respond (or sometimes not respond at all as we saw in December this year).
This week, residents called the police because of an incident near their place. After an hour, they contacted Justin Brannan….the police came after Brannan alerted them.
Last year we saw a parent wait three hours for the police. They contacted Brannan and the police responded. NO ONE SHOULD NEED TO CONTACT THE COUNCILMAN TO GET THE POLICE TO RESPOND. More info here
This meeting is to let them know. March 16th at 7:00 pm at Maimonides Hospital 4810 – 10th Avenue.

February 22, 2020King Cakes in Bay Ridge
![]()
Teri B’s Sweet and Savory has King Cakes for Mardi Gras. This is a hard item to find in Brooklyn!
I haven’t ordered a cake from Teri’s, but I was at a birthday party and the cake was fresh and delicious. I asked, “Where is this cake from?” And they told me they got it from Teri.
King cakes – yeast dough with eggs and a bit of nutmeg. These are filled with pecans, raisins, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Can also be made with a cream cheese filling. They are drizzled with vanilla icing and dusted with colored sugar.
Mardi Gras colors have special meaning: yellow = power, green = faith, purple = justice.
Each one weighs a bit over 2 lbs. Serves 10-12. $40. Order here

February 21, 2020Golden and GOP – Opposite Endorsements
In the beginning of January, Marty Golden gave his former staffer, Mark0 Kepi, his endorsement. See here
While Michael Tanousis looked shocked, Nicole Malliotakis didn’t looked shocked at all.
Surprisingly, the Brooklyn Republican Party just announced that they support Michael Tanousis . See here
Usually the Republican Party followed Golden, so it’s strange to see an opposite endorsement.
