Mary Ellen Curran Relying on Faith

Bay Ridge resident, Mary Ellen Curran was featured in the NY Post Story about coping with the coronavirus. Curran is 78 years old.

She looks beautiful and so put together. Notice her multiple necklacs and nice earrings too,  How does her hair look freshly styled when no salons are open? These Bay Ridge ladies have their secrets.

Curran said, “The only thing that keeps you going now is your faith.”   She logs onto Facebook at noon every weekday to attend live-streamed mass from St. Patrick’s Church in Brooklyn. That’s a great message of faith…as I said the women in Bay Ridge are very wise!

Mary Ellen Curran has two children and three grandchildren and is currently staying alone in a Bay Ridge studio apartment.

“I wave out the window to my son,” she adds. “You get very anxious. Is it going to hit you or your family?”

Five Men Cleaned 3rd & 5th Avenues

Five men in our community spent their day cleaning in Bay Ridge. Why? Because they don’t want to live in the filth.

Artisans of Medicine purchased the equipment to clean up.

The volunteers filled five garbage bags with gloves and masks from the avenues.

These men cleaned 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue from Bay Ridge  Avenue to 86th Street.

They are doing another cleaning on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.

Thank you to these local heroes who gave up their Sunday to help the community!  Mohamed Bahe and the Muslim Give Back Group – Thank you for being so responsive to your community!

Cuzo’s Headstand on His Car

Some people are sad because they are in quarantine. Some people make the best of the situation and do headstands on their car.

Cuzo (that’s his name – he’s not my cousin)  is always showing out!

Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus was delivering meals again today.

It’s so sweet that she is leaving the meals on the doorknobs so seniors can have a good meal.

Package Thief in Bay Ridge

Someone has to know him.

If you see him riding around, call the police. This looks like an easy person to catch!

A lot of times when people order something online it’s medical supplies or something something important for a family member.
