My Obsession with Mail

I Hate Driving in Queens….I hate Queens.

I woke up early this morning so I took a ride out to Nassau Country. I drove through Queens to get to 495. EVERY TIME I drive through Queens, there is an accident on the road and Queens drivers are the most inconsiderate people in the world.  When there is an accident on the road […]

You Know You Have Good Friends When…….

The Tsarnaev brothers are probably some of the most hated people in the world for the recent Boston bombing. Their mother continues to give interviews claiming her son’s innocence. And my friends pray for the Tsarnaev family. Yep. I know so REALLY good people.  I prayed for the families that were harmed by the bomb as I […]

Suprises

Normally, I hate surprises. I don’t like the feeling of being caught off guard. I kn0w many people love surprises and hope that their loved ones would surprise them once in awhile. Lee knows I hate surprises, but he loves planning them. Over the years, he has learned that it’s better to save the surprises […]

The Lesson I Learned From My Father When I Didn’t Know I Was Being Taught a Lesson

I’m the fifth child and only girl in my family. The bond I shared with my father was unique. While I was an adult, my Dad lived in Long Island. One morning when he was walking our dog, Max, another dog ran out of his house and attacked Max. As my Dad to stop the […]

3 Years

I woke up early and went out back to sit on the deck and drink coffee. As I looked over at your tree, I noticed that it just started to bloom today. And I realized it had been three years.  RIP  ECM.     Gone, but not forgotten.

Things to do on the Anniversary of Someone’s Death

The last couple of years have brought a lot of deaths and often people wonder what they should do on the anniversary of someone’s death:   – Go to the cemetery and leave some flowers or pennies on the grave.  – Release  a group of helium balloons or just one. I always buy one on the anniversary […]
