At the end of May, robbers broke into St. Augustine’s Catholic Church on 6th Avenue in Park Slope and stole the tabernacle, which is worth two million dollars. Now the Catholic Church is offering 50K for it’s return. (Story here) That gold box was probably melted down in May! .
