Sad to hear the news that Chopstix in Bay Ridge is closing. This restaurant has been here for decades AND it’s many people’s favorite. An employee told me that business was down to 80% because of the change in the neighborhood. Saturday is their last day.

Ben Cimino, a former Assistant Principal of McKinley Junior High School died on May 24th. He was 92 years old. Mr. Cimino is known by many in Bay Ridge because he worked for 40 years as a teacher, dean and AP at McKinley. Ben’s grandson is collecting memories about his grandfather.
