Fontbonne Students Featured in Story About NY Liberty’s Tickertape Parade Story

The New York Liberty is a professional basketball team in New York. They won the Woman’s National Basketball WNBA Association, so there will be a parade for them on Thursday, October 24th at 10:00 am in Manhattan. Fontbonne Academy’s basketball team was featured in the video! (See here)

18th Avenue Smoke Shop and Kindness

We stopped at Smoke Stax on 18th Avenue and 66th Street. On the counter was dog supplies, which looked out of place because it is a cigar shop. Then I noticed the sign below the dog food. The owner is giving away dog food and other items because his dog died. Such a kind gesture.

How Many Brooklynites Have to Die From Lithium Batteries Before Someone Takes Action?

A 69-year-old man was killed in Brighton Beach after a fire started at 4:00 am from a lithium-ion battery. Three other Brooklynites were injured. (Story here) These batteries can not be in buildings.
