For two years in a row, the Redhook pool has been closed because of a broken part. By now Andrew Gounardes should have made a plan to have backup parts and to check the Redhook pool at the beginning of May. But all the community gets is a social media post.

July 15, 2026RIP Tommy Lombardozzi
I was so sad to hear that Tommy Lombardozzi passed away. He was a talented artist and musician. You can hear him sing here:
I met Tommy after he announced he was creating pet portraits. He did one for me that I gifted to my friend for Christmas and she loved it. After that I kept running into Tommy at art shows, other events and businesses in Brooklyn. He was a song writer and he played guitar. He always stopped to talk with us and he was very funny.
RIP Tommy. Prayers for his Mother, family and many friends.

At Treasure Island, the price of an item will start at $12.00 o. n Friday. Then the price of the item is reduced during the week until it becomes $1.00 on Thursday.

July 14, 2026Police Chase Perp From Sunset Park to Bay Ridge AND Arrest Them
Video journalist, Sanitation Hunter shared a video of the police arresting a man on 73rd Street and 5th Avenue today in Bay Ridge.
Sanitation Hunter wrote that the perp ran away from the police in Sunset Park, so they chased him to Bay Ridge and arrested him. The perp’s scooter got impounded as well.
