Is There Red Wine in the Cannoli Shells at Villabate Bakery?

Nicky Smalls and Giuseppe from Brooklyn Bites made the video above.

In the video, Nicky said that Villabate Bakery puts red wine in their cannoli shells. I never heard of that! Villabate Lovers, is this true?

Villabate Bakery is at 7001 – 18th Avenue in Brooklyn.

Bay Ridge Politicians Fail Residents in the Towers – Fires From Homeless Encampments

For almost two years, residents at The Bay Ridge Towers on 3rd Avenue and 65th Street have been calling for help because homeless people are starting fires behind their building and the toxic smoke is filling their apartments and hallways. See Channel 12 News:

https://shorturl.at/o8hkI

Why isn’t Council representative Kayla Santosuoso and Senator Andrew Gounardes helping them?

Why hasn’t Community Board 10 mentioned this? Last night, Community Board 10 had a Police and Public safety meeting and none of the members of the NYPD’s representative spoke about the homeless encampments starting fires.

The residents went to the news because they can’t get help to stop the fires near the Towers. They don’t feel safe outside of the apartment buildings.

The homeless people are burning tires!

Around 9:40 pm, there was a serious collision on 14th Avenue and 83rd Street.

There’s glass all over. At least three vehicles are badly damages.

One man seems to be in police custody.

Community Board 10 and The Staples Lot

Last week, CB 10’s Zoning and Land Use Committee voted in favor of rezoning the Staples Lot.

The developer said that the affordable housing would be handled by a group called The Fifth Avenue Committee. Why wasn’t a group in Bay Ridge used for this?

The developer made it seem like they were “community activists.”

Why does the 5th Avenue Committee’s 990 show huge lobbying expenditures?

Why didn’t anyone on CB 10’s Land Use Committee question who the 5th Avenue Committee was before they voted?

How did the 5th Avenue Committee get involved in this project?

*A little history: Brad Lander served as the executive director of the Fifth Avenue Committee before entering city politics.

Sen. Steve Chan Is Proud to Represent Sunset Park.

Senator Steve Chan spoke in Albany because he is proud to represent Sunset Park!

Another Senator made a resolution to celebrate Dominicans in Albany. Chan supported the resolution. I think this is the resolution:

Bay Ridge, while I love you, my heart belongs to Sunset Park because the people are a little scrappier and the community stands together better.

Dead People Signed Dems Petitions in District 46

Marie Mirville-Shahzada, a Democrat running for the District 46 NYS Assembly seat is in the newspaper today for having dead people’s signatures on her nominating petitions and that 90% of her signatures have been invalidated. See: https://shorturl.at/sz9Pe

How is it possible to have that many signatures invalidated?

This MSN article wrote: “Some 3,000 people who supposedly signed the petitions — which are required to run for office — lived out of the district or were not registered to vote.” https://shorturl.at/Q5Z6n

Mirville-Shahzada supported the casino in Coney Island, so I am not a fan of hers. The people in Coney Island worked so hard to stop the casino.

This is déjà vu for us in Bay Ridge because in November 2021, dead people voted for Brannan in the election between Brannan and Fox.

https://shorturl.at/rhGai

Strange thing back then, Chris McCreight didn’t say anything when it happened! Now McCreight is crying in the newspaper.

We’ve had so much cortruption in Bay Ridge and Chris McCreight stayed silent through it all. When Justin Brannan voted to demap Coney Island for the casino, Chris McCreight was silent.

When Justin Brannan carved his home out of The City of Yes and then voted for The City of Yes, McCreight didn’t say a peep. Info: https://shorturl.at/cy2BQ

When rainbow flags were torn down in Bay Ridge, we saw that Justin Brannan, Chris McCreight and Andrew Gounardes failed to hang new flags, so no LGBTQ group should be endorsing McCreight.

The Stonewall Democrats did not endorse Brannan last election (they supported Mark Levine) and they didn’t endorse McCreight this election. They endorsed Joe Santangelo:

I don’t know Santeangelo, but his website is positive and it says he lives in Distsrict 46. https://www.santangeloforny.com

I asked Joe Santangelo if I could send some questions and he said I could. So stay tuned if you like news about Democrats!
