Sam Nair – Missing Father From Brooklyn

Sanjeev Nair (who goes by Sam) has been missing since Friday night, March 6th. He lives with his wife and child in Bay Ridge. Sam’s last known contact was a text message around midnight Friday going into Saturday.
Sam is 6’1″ and approximately 170 lbs.
Sam was last believed to be heading toward Long Island (Nassau County). Sam drives a gray 2019 Audi A8 with the license plate LSK8607.
A missing persons report has been filed. If you have seen Sam please call 911 or contact the 68th Precinct at 718-439-4211.

The Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026 starting on Marine Avenue and 3rd Avenue at 1:00 pm.
This is the 31st year this parade is taking place on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge!

Before the parade, there is a mass at St. Patrick’s Church on 4th Avenue and 95th Street at 10:00 am.

Father Kevin Abels, the pastor of Saint Anselm’s Church and Our Lady of Angels is the Grand Marshall!

March 7, 2026RIP Johary Cantave – Only 14-Years-Old

Johary Cantave, a 14-year-old, was killed on Friday, March 6, 2026 around 11:40 pm on 46th Street and 10th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
The news shared that Johary Cantave was sitting in a white Mitsubishi with his friend on the corner of 9th Avenue and 46th Street. A 14-year-old that was a friend of the driver was outside the car on a scooter.
Then three males wearing masks came up to them and started arguing with the 14-year-old on the scooter. (Source: https://shorturl.at/2g0LR ) One of them took out a gun and shot Johary in the head. Johary Cantave’s friend drove him to to Maimonides Hospital where he died.
No one has been arrested for his death Johary’s death.

March 6, 202615-Year-Old Boy Shot on Bay Parkway in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn (Update: Good News!)

There was a shooting around 7:30 pm tonight at 7705 Bay Parkway. A 15-year-old boy, who lived in that building was hit with a bullet in his shoulder.
Senator Steve Chan said this teen is alright and is home from the hospital. Thank God!

At 5:25 pm this afternoon, a 12-year-old boy was walking with his grandmother on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 69th Street. Two males stopped and punched him in the face in front of the 99 Cents Store – the boy did not know them.
The two males went into the building at 6921 Fort Hamilton Parkway. The police took over 20 minutes to arrive.

Around 5:30 pm on Thursday, a man with a gun entered Empire State Bank at 6923-18th Avenue in Brooklyn. The thief shows his demanded money from the front desk clerk. She gave him $7,000.00.
