Sunday, July 3, 2022
1) The Independence Day Parade was moved to Sunset Park by Mayor Adams after the train shooting.
The parade is set to begin at 11:30 am. Line up is scheduled for 59th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue.
The parade will make a left and travel down 5th Avenue to 43th Street
.
2) There is also a parade in Downtown Brooklyn! Bring your kids, pets, bikes, floats, tractors, trucks and any other fun things and participate in the Parade! Line up is at 9:30 on Irwin Street with the Parade starting at 10:00.
3) E&J Boutique 20% off Weekend Sale at 6906 Fort Hamilton Parkway.
3) Coney Island – West 16th Street – music performance 1 – 7 pm.

4. A.J. “Jojo” Leone is performing from 7 – 10 pm at The Salty Dog.

5. The Bender Band At The Leif Bar 6725 – 5th Avenue – 6 PM

Monday, July 4, 2022
Happy Fourth of July.
1) Coney Island Events:
11:00 am – Coney Island Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Competition – Women’s competition. There are pre-show festivities and musical performances around 10:30 am. This contest will be shown on ESPN too.
12:30pm – Coney Island Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Competition – Men’s competition. This will be shown on ESPN too.
6:30 pm Coney Island Cyclones 4 Tickets, 4 hats and 4 meals – $99. Fireworks after the game. (See here)

2) Barbecue at The Leif Bar 6725 – 5th Avenue at 2:00 pm.
3) Barbecue at Irish Haven at 6 pm. Open Mic at 9:00 pm.

Free concert in Shore Road Park at 7:00 pm. The band, Tramps Like Us (the Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band) will perform in the park – 79th Street and Shore Road.

Wednesday, July 6, 2022
1) St. Dominic’s has family fun night water Night – $5.00 per person Water slides, watermelon, ices, games, fun, karaoke and maybe a dunk tank. 5:30 – 9:30 pm.
2) BINGO at Schnitzel Haus 7319 – 5th Avenue at 7:00 pm
3) Lonestar – karaoke night starts at 7:00 pm. Lonestar is at 8705 – 5th Avenue.
4) Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast in Williamsburg begins tonight. If you have never been to this feast and seen the men carry the statue in the photo below, go and see it. (More info)

Open Mic at Kitty Kiernans – anyone can play or sing starting at 9:00 pm. Be a rockstar and have your photo taken at this lit up mic.

1) 3rd Avenue Summer Stroll – 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm 68th Street to 81st. The first one of the season is always big!
1b) Kettle Black at 8622 – 3rd Avenie will have George Pappas during the Summer Stroll from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
1c) The Pour House on 3rd Avenue and 79th will have Jared Chinnock performing.
2) Blues Circus will be performing starting at 7 pm at Schnitzel Haus 7319 – 5th Avenue.
3) Brown Girls Food Club – this is the first meeting of this group at Yemeni House at 7204 5th Avenue from 8 – 10 pm. Menu here Open to all women cis and trans and non-binary folks. Contact: [email protected]

Saturday, July 9, 2022
1) Meet NY Mets 1986 world series champion Mookie Wilson at E&J Boutique at 6906 Fort Hamilton Parkway from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Get an autograph and take photos with him. $25 autographs and $10 inscriptions JSA will also be present for the signing.
2) Women’s support group in Bay Ridge.
3) Car Show in Coney Island at West 12th Street between Surf Avenue and the Boardwalk. Free.
The Alliance for Coney Island will be hosting a classic car show on Saturday, July 9th from 1-5 PM. The event will take place on W. 12th Street between Surf Avenue and the Boardwalk – free and open to the public.
