Pasticceria Rocco is a fantastic place on the corner of 4th Avenue and 94th Street in Bay Ridge. They have the sign above posted, which may bring some controversy….depending on how you feel.

The city is mandating restaurants and other businesses to check vaccination cards of patrons starting August 17th.

The owner explained that she doesn’t want to discriminate against vaccine status. In an August 16th article, the owner said this was not political. (See here)
Businesses don’t want to dictate to people what to do with their bodies….they just want to do business and serve their customers.
At Pasticceria Roccos bakery in Bay Ridge Brooklyn where the owner put up a sign on her door that states we do not discriminate. Everyone is welcome , Vaccinated or not

Brian Fox, who is running for Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights NYC Council seat stopped by to support the owners of Rocco’s.

I think this business with gain and lose customers. Die-hard vaccine supporters will be angry with this business. Democrats who want this to be political will also take this personally. But I think the business will also get new support from people who aren’t ready to get vaccinated yet.
