Senator Gounardes and Others Play Politics in Bay Ridge Today

Attorney General Tish James released the report about Andrew Cuomo today at 11:00 am. (This is the report.)

Could Tish James’ announcement have been a secret that was kept from our trio of Bay Ridge politicians?
At 11:00 am, Bay Ridge’s politicians were standing on 86th Street with ten people from Rider’s Alliance acting as if their protest will affect the Federal government’s money for the MTA.

** Why would they have this today when the truth was coming out about Andrew Cuomo and it was time for the women to be heard?
A 10 billion dollar infrastructure bill has already been planned for NY from the federal government – information was in the NY Times – see here.

The federal bill has nothing to do with our local representatives. When it passes, will our local papers tell something different? Stay tuned!

Rider’s Alliance was nowhere to be found in January 2020 when a woman was sexually assaulted in the 95th Street train station bathroom in Bay Ridge. No politician spoke out about the incident either. (Info here) The Daily News shared information about the suspect here and said the man was released due to bail reform.
We need to expect more from our local leaders, as press release politics is a thing of the past and continuing to do this just shows that local politicians are not accountable to the people in this community.
Mathylde Frontus is the only politician that doesn’t have a car and uses mass transit. We normally don’t see her rallying with Gounardes and Brannan. The last time she did, it was for the Verrazzano Bridge discount that never happened. See here for the story and here for the bill that was never passed. (just press release politics.)
