Nicole Malliotakis Voted Against Dreams
Brittany Ramos DeBarros was upset that Nicole Malliotakis voted against Dreamers. The bill passed without Malliotakis’ support.
Malliotakis will always vote this way. She is fiscally conservative and she doesn’t believe that money should be spent on education for people who aren’t citizens.
The reality is that these children have been here for many years and need to continue their education so they can help our community. It is not their fault they aren’t citizens YET.
Both of Malliotakis’ parents are immigrants and Malliotakis could have been in the same place as a Dreamer had it hadn’t been so easy for her parent(s) to come here.
