What Happened to the Birds at Poly Prep?

For awhile there were signs all around Poly Prep asking people not to feed the birds.

Now there are no birds walking around Poly Prep or outside.  If you walked down 92nd Street and 7th Avenue you could see ducks and sometimes a few chickens too. 

You used to see birds laying around like this:

Due to COVID-19, the students at Poly Prep have class outdoors. 

Did the birds leave by themselves or did Poly have them move because of the outdoor classrooms?

   I just drove by there today 3-27-21. The whole pond is eerily DEAD….Not one duck or goose anywhere…Poly Prep had to have hired an exterminator to kill them…
