Bodega Worker Slashed During Robbery on 9/26
This is the story of what happened at Gelston Avenue and 88th Street his weekend:
Adam from Loudlabs shared the above video and wrote this description: “A bodega worker was slashed during an attempted robbery. It happened around 6 pm Saturday, September 26th at a Bodega located at 569 92nd Street, next to the Sunoco gas station.”
According to a nearby bodega, the suspect attempted to steal a can of soda. The bodega owner was then slashed in the neck. Police were called, who joined the victim on a foot pursuit which ended five blocks away at Gelston Ave & 88th St. Police restrained the suspect and called for two ambulances.
Two Bravo Volunteer Ambulances arrived first at the scene. NYU Paramedics also responded. The victim was treated for a slash wound to his neck and transported to an area hospital by Bravo EMS in stable condition.
The suspect was treated for a head injury from a fall. He was also transported by Bravo EMS to an area Hospital in stable condition.
